Kenai has been such a great puppy to have around the last week. We built the two puppies a playpen last weekend and it has been so great to have. They love to play in it, plus it gives them somewhere safe to play when they need to be locked up - instead of just a small kennel.
Kenai is really trying hard to potty outside or on his puppy pad in the playpen. Most of the time when I come home to let them out, the pad is still dry! They have even kept it dry all night! Kenai isn't quite as close to being potty trained as Riggs is, but he is getting there. He has already come so far since last weekend when he thought it was a waste of time to stop playing to go potty somewhere else!
Kenai loves to cuddle. He crawls up on the couch and climbs in your lap! Then he will either let you pet him, or will decide that you are his new playmate. He doesn't seem to care whether his playmate is his brother or a person - he also plays the same way with each - so we have been working on chewing on toys and not people!
Kenai is a very happy-go-lucky kind of guy. He will follow Riggs around and do what he is doing, decide that Riggs needs to play with him at the moment, or be willing to do something completely different at that time. He just sort of goes with the flow.
I really can't think of any complaints to tell you about these two boys. They are GREAT at night - quiet the whole night long. They are great when you need a break and put them in the playpen for a bit. They are really good when they are given free roam of the main level of the house. (As long as there is someone in the room to watch them.) They play together really well. All in all, Kenai is an outstanding puppy!
