Kenny 09-111

Profile

Kenny is a cutie pie. He is the brother of Angel IA and they look very much alike. I'm sorry but I don't have a good pic yet. He is a little cream colored boy, about 9 months old. He has thick wavy fur and and great highlights. His feathering is almost white. He is neutered and up to date and is looking for his special family.

So far, we know that Kenny loves to play with other dogs and is gentle and quiet with kids. He is rather skittish however, so he takes some patience and coaxing to come. He is pretty good on a leash and had to learn today to get in and out of that scary car like a big dog. He is leary of new people and will hide behind me like a toddler when someone comes up to him. He isn't real sure about toys but does love tennis balls and will fetch and drop it once in a while. He is very trainable and I am sure will come around to be quite social. He does like to have his humans near and will not do well left for long periods during the day.

Right now, I'd say Kenny would do best in a home with a confident but not too pushy dog and he seems just fine with kids. However, given his shyness, I'd say some pretty nice kids who are old enough to avoid "rushing" him and scaring him. He will also need a physical fence to be sure he doesn't bolt if he gets scared by something.

Kenny is a gentle, submissive pup that has tons of potential and is just about the most adorable Golden I've ever seen.

Kenny is a doll. He is a calm gentle pup who will fit nicely into so many homes. I do think he still needs another dog to hang with and will be happiest in a fenced yard so he can run freely. But, other than that, he is easy to accommodate. He loves his walks and playing fetch. His favorite toys are heavy duty rubber squeekies. He eats right next to the other two smaller dogs and they all three go from bowl to bowl to get every last bite.

He is a cuddle bug and while I crate him at night he probably won't need this in a new home after he settles in. I have a feeling he'd prefer the bed!! We did find out that he enjoys chewing on cords so you'll want to be sure to protect him from those. We lost our DVD attachment and our heating pad cord to his teeth. He sure was quiet. I should have know. Luckily, nothing was plugged in!!

Give your placement advisor a call. Kenny is worth the drive no matter where you live!!!!!

It is hard to tell how big Kenny is in these pics but he weighs about 35 pounds. He is the size of my Aussie/Cocker mix, Cody. They play hard all day and Kenny takes his cues from Cody. If Cody sits, so does Kenny. If Cody runs, so does Kenny. You get the picture.

Kenny sleeps in his crate at night pretty soundly. And, while he isn't fond of going in, he only whines for a short while and then settles. He hasn't had an accident in the house while we've been home. When we are gone, he is crated for short periods.

Kenny is a counter surfer we found out. He'll do just about anything for a treat. So, he is receiving his share of redirection but takes those well and learns quickly. He is still a puppy after all!!

He is eating well and will share his food. I haven't seen any aggressive tendencies at all.

Kenny is a very nice puppy.
