Koda arrived at his foster home on Sunday night. He was scared but also loving after a long journey from South Dakota.
He is two years old and is a purebred Golden Retriever who is neutered and current on his vaccinations. He weighs 83lbs. He was raised with children and is very friendly. He comes when you call his name. He spent alot of time outdoors before arriving here and seems to love being out in the fenced yard. He is still adjusting to his new environment but seems to enjoy running and chasing our two Goldens, a male and female. He is frisky and ready to play but also likes laying on the deck.
He needs to lose some weight and his romping in the yard and daily walks will help with this. He is very beautiful and has long reddish blond hair, which is very thick and cuddly. He allows us to check his ears and mouth and body without resistance. He likes chewing on the nylabone. He is learning to accept being crated but has a ways to go. He needs to learn basic commands. Stairs are an issue for him, some he will go down and others he won't. He has not had any accidents in the house. He walks well with the Gentle Leader.
With increased attention and more activity this sweet guy will thrive. His temporary foster mom said he is a love bug and with her tender loving care for the last week, he got started on his new journey.
