Kraelyn Leigh 1/31/2008 – 8/2/2020
My beautiful girl Kraelyn Leigh 08-062 crossed the Rainbow Bridge on Sunday August 2, 2020 only 4 days after being diagnosed with cancer. My heart is crushed that you were taken from me so quickly. If love were enough to save you, I would have saved you a thousand times over.
You came into my life as a precious 8 week old puppy when your mom Reno 08-001 was rescued by RAGOM. Little did I know then how you would change the trajectory of my life.
You were determined in spirit and knew what you wanted early in life. You were a social butterfly that insisted on being included in neighborhood parties and you loved going on new adventures.
Your confidence and leadership unfolded at a very early age amidst the countless playdates with your littermates and new RAGOM friends the first few years. Yearly birthday parties for your litter "Team Reno" kept you connected and your circle expanded every year with more and more dog and human friends. Frequent playdates all year long filled you with so much happiness.
Your love for fetching tennis balls and sticks was unparalleled and to see the pure joy on your face made my heart smile every time. The time we spent playing fetch are some of the sweetest memories.
You were the best outfielder catching flyballs from the chuck-it. Every chance to swim whether in a lake or pool brought you boundless joy, as did a running water hose that you could attack. You definitely earned your nickname of Krazy Kraelyn.
You welcomed 32 foster dogs plus more temp fosters into our home and showed them the ropes of what rescue was about. You had a confident wisdom about you and incredible patience and knew just the right correction to give all of the younger fosters that needed it.
With the puppy mill dogs, you provided them with comfort and space to come out of their shells at their own pace while showing them what fun looked like. Frequent babysitting of former fosters and guests kept the house quite active.
You were the leader of the house and showed foster-then-sister Lilly and little cousins Ella and Macie the joy of being a doodle. Cousin Pippi kept you safe and mothered you.
When 5 month old foster Jessa showed up almost three years ago, I could hear you saying “Here we go again!” Unphased, you taught yet another youngster and provided her with so much protection and confidence that she deeply needed and she kept you young and active.
I marveled at how you always waited by the door until every dog whether family, foster or friend, was in the house safe at night for bedtime. No dog left behind was one of your mottos.
Kraelyn, you made this house a home. Thank you for being my confidant, ever present companion and my best friend. The bond we share is unbreakable, yet my heart is so broken right now. Your absence is deeply felt by all of us that loved you so, so much.
Run free over the bridge Kraelyn and get Miss Whitney, Roy, Sweet Mama Nicole, Bixby, Sweet Jewel, littermates Abby, Charlie, Tanner, Sebastian and Gideon all together for a big party at the bridge. Swim, fetch, roll in the grass and run to your heart's content.
Until I see you again my sweet girl. I love you forever.

Hilde was adopted on Thursday and will now live with her new Mom, Cindy, in Bloomington. Hilde was renamed to Kraelyn Leigh in honor of two very special furr angels.
Congratulations Kraelyn (Hilde) and Cindy!
