Lacey 05-290

Profile

9/19/05: Meet Lacey. This sweet girl arrived Friday full of energy and ready to party. She seems relieved to be free of the shelter and anxious for some long-awaited TLC. She was also ready to have a name so "Lacey" it is. This girl's history is unknown because she was picked up as a stray prior to her time in the shelter.

The introduction to my resident dog was impressive. They sniffed "hello" and it was off to the races running and playing in the backyard. Lacey walks with pride - her head up and tail wagging. She's not skittish or nervous at all. This beautiful blonde girl LOVES people. She loves to be petted and will insist upon it by putting her head under my hand on her own. I think she'd be happiest sitting around being petted all day long.

This is a vibrant, loving and seemingly healthy girl. We're going to the vet this afternoon to make sure she's up to date and to get an estimate on her age. The people at the shelter thought her to be about 5 years old.

Lacey's knowledge of commands is limited but she's very responsive and eager to please. So far she's been a joy to have around and I'm sure will make a great addition to her new family. More to come after the vet and as I get to know this sweet pup.

Lacey is doing very well. She's such a well behaved girl and wants nothing more than to be loved and paid attention to. She and my resident dog have become good buddies, too. They've started wrestling and playing tug of war in the past few days. Both are very gentle. Lacey is playful to an extent but calm and reserved a lot of the time, too. She's taking her pills perfectly and continues to eat a healthy amount of food. We're slowly putting a few pounds back on this skinny gal. She had a bath last week and seemed to enjoy it at first, but got a little restless after a few minutes. She's really very tolerant of everything, whether it's the poking and prodding of the vet, me bathing her, or my resident dog chewing on her ear. Won't you give this girl a chance to WOW you with her charm? Contact placementatragom [dot] org if you'd like to meet this sweetheart. You'll be glad you did.
