Landon 08-483

Profile

Landon is a Golden Doodle found as a stray in the Fridley – New Brighton area. He is estimated to be about 2 years old.  Landon was held at a shelter for over a month hoping to find his family. He weighs about 70 lbs. and is up to date on all his shots.  Landon is the color of milk and honey, with curly, curly hair. Some doodles hair feels scratchy but Landon’s is very soft. It is said that doodles don’t shed as much as golden’s. I can’t say for sure with Landon as he has only been with me about a week. The only straight hair on Landon is the hair on his face. Some doodles also have curly facial hair.

It took me a while to figure out what was different about him as a Doodle compared to others I have seen.  He is a sweet boy who LOVES to play. He and my resident dog Max wrestle morning – noon – night. Long after Max is pooped, Landon is ready for more. He is like the energizer bunny.

Landon loves walks and car rides. He does great in the car and settles right in. He enjoys looking out the window while riding along. Landon does jump and will need obedience training.  He does not always sit when told but he always comes when told to by name or by whistle. I have called him when he is playing hard and he will stop to come to me. Good Boy!!

He really wants to please you by doing the right thing. I just don’t think anyone taught him sit, stay and lay down. He is a cuddler and will reward you with many, many kisses. He is very affectionate with his human and with other goldens. He and my other foster Rudy give kisses to each other all the time.

Landon’s vet check up went very well. He was well behaved and received wonderful compliments on his demeanor.   The vet said he could loose a few pounds which I am sure he already has done with all the play.

Landon is ready to meet his forever family.

Pictures of Landon will soon arrive.
