Lea 05-405

Profile

12/1/05: Lea has been with us since Saturday & what a sweetheart she is. She charmed her new foster dad almost immediately & he has since been calling her Princess Lea. Lea was surrendered to RAGOM from an animal control. Lea was found outside of animal contol with her friend Albert, & it is unclear if they were running & just stopped to enjoy the pond out back, or if perhaps they were dumped there. Either way, Lea is now enjoying the good life.

Lea is on the petite side & if I hadn't seen the scale myself I never would believe that she weighs in @ 70 lbs. It is a perfect size for her but I would have guessed her to be smaller. She is a darker red with a tiny bit of white under her chin & under each front leg. She passed her vet appointment with flying colors, fecal negative & heartworm negative to boot. Lea was so charming that the vet tech wanted to sneak her out to her car when I wasn't looking!! The only concern with Lea is that she is currently in heat & will need to finish that before she can be spayed.

Lea is a complete sweetheart. I have yet to have heard her bark! She likes nothing better than to snuggle up & cuddle with you. She had a few accidents in the house the first 2 days but that hasn't been a problem since. Lea gets along with my 3 Goldens but has yet to play with them. My 2 females get very loud & growly when they play & Lea isn't sure what to make of that. She gets so close & you can just see that she wants to join in, but so far she just hangs back. She also gets along BEAUTIFULLY with my 3 kids, ages 3, 9 & 12, & I really feel Lea would do good in a home with young children. Lea has not chewed on anything inappropriate (wish she would teach my 3 dogs that-they like to steal toilet paper & tissue!), & she doesn't counter surf. I'm not sure how she would do with cats, but she just walks past the bunny in its cage without paying it any attention. Lea would also make a good exercise partner. My husband took her along when he went jogging yesterday & she did great. What a good motivator she could be to help lose those holiday pounds that we all gain!

If you are interested in this little princess contact placementatragom [dot] org. Lea would love to help open Christmas presents in her own forever home this year!!
