6/12/07: Hi. Sal here... Well, we arrived at our new foster home last night and have settled in quite nicely. We met the resident dogs and cat and everyone gets along real well. There is an annoying bird here though that squawks a lot and it scares my brother, Leo. Mom says we have to go to the groomer next week because we are so shaggy and hot. She tried to shave my feet, but I didn't let her. I'll show her who's boss...hee hee.

We are waiting for our microchips (what's that?) before we go to the vet. Our old mom and dad sent our vet records with us and our shots and stuff are all up to date.

Mom says we are both very sweet boys and that makes us smile a lot. Dad is a bit tired today. We decided it was time to play at 3 a.m. with the resident dog and we all ended up in bed with mom and dad to play. Mom is tired, too. We promise to sleep better tonight.

Leo is kind of a scaredy-cat. He is afraid of the water bowl. It is one of those 5-gallon jugs that goes glub-glub when you drink from it. I don't mind it. Mom set a different bowl out for Leo. We are going to go for a big walk and play this evening when it gets cooler up in the vineyard (what's a vineyard?). We love being in the country. Lots of room to play and poop.

We can't wait to go to our forever home. We would really like to stay together as brothers. Mom said if she didn't know better, we could be conjoined twins, whatever that means. I do love my brother and he loves me. Does someone have room in their hearts for two big teddy bears?

Well, until next time... I will let my brother write this next time :)

WOW... what a day! We spent a day at the "spa", so says mom. Huh... I call it a groomer. Anyway, don't I look handsome now? And the best thing is that I can SEE. When I got home I had to check out the house again and see all the things I missed before. Then I took a long nap. I did not want to get in the car this morning. But I can tell you, I was ready to go home when mom picked us up and I jumped right in! But before we went home, mom took us to see dad at the FIRE STATION. He is a fireman and wow! I wanted to get in the big yellow truck. It must be real cool to be a fire dog. I got to meet a lot of new people too. It was fun, but I really wanted to go home. The resident dog, Emmett, was so glad to see us! But are we ever tired. What a stressful day. But ohhhh, I am so much cooler now. And mom says we smell better too. Last night we went up to the vineyard and we got to meet the neighbor mules, whatever that is. Looks like a giant doggie to me. We just sat nice in the grass and watched them eat. They are bigger than me! Mom let me off of my leash and I ran all over with Emmett. She made Sal stay on his leash while I was loose. Ha ha. But then I had to go on the leash while my brother ran around. He is not as adventurous as I am. He stayed close to mom. Well, gotta go. I am so tired from having a haircut. Later, Leo
