Lexy is a 3 year old Golden Retriever/Collie mix. She has a golden coat and body, and her face looks like a Collie's as do her ears. Her feet are also petite. Right now she weighs about 45 lbs. but the vet said she should gain 5 to 10 lbs. for her frame. Lexy has a beautiful blonde coat that is lighter where her coat ends. Lexy has been doing good at our house. At first when she came, she didn't like our dog too much, but now she is comfortable and is playing with her. She went to the Vet yesterday and everything checked out okay. She is UTD on her vacs. She is on an antibiotic for something that showed up in her fecal but other than that she is healthy. Lexy has a lot of energy and loves to run around in our back yard. She listens very well and comes when she is called. If she is doing something she shouldn't be, I just tell her no and she stops. She is good with the kids and is always happy to see someone. She is completely house trained and does not get into things she shouldn't.
Yesterday I put on the gentle leader and she didn't like it at all. Eventually she got used to it and is doing okay with it. She walks pretty good with it but will fight it once in a while. I've taken her on two walks and she did great. When she is not on a gentle leader, she will pull on the leash.
The next stop for Lexy is the groomer and then she will be ready for her forever home!
