Lily 12-393

Profile

Please welcome Lily to RAGOM! Lily is a 5-week-old (DOB 11-8-12) Golden Retriever mix. Lily's mom is a purebred Golden and daddy is a mystery. Her daddy is likely a larger breed as the pups are all big puppies for just turning 5 weeks old! Lily is nearly all black with just a splash of white on her chest and a bit on her toes.

Lily comes to RAGOM with her two sisters, Elsa and Sadie, and brother, Joey. All four puppies have gorgeous thick fur! Lily has been seen by a vet and cleared with flying colors. She weighed in as the largest pup at 6 lb 9 oz. Clearly, Lily knows how to push her way in to get mommy's milk!

Lily and her siblings will be available for adoption when they are 8 weeks old and after they get neutered/spayed. They will likely be large dogs as adults judging from their size currently. As with all puppies, they will require a lot of time, patience, and training while developing into wonderful adult companions. They will certainly chew your favorite shoe, and potty on that brand new rug, so be sure you are prepared for that! :) Also, because they are young puppies, they can not be expected to "hold it" all day and will need to be let out during the weekday for many months to come.

If that all sounds like something you are looking for.....then Lily might be your lady! Even though she cannot be adopted until after she is 8 weeks old, Lily is available to meet interested applicants. If you would like to meet Lily, let your placement coordinator know!

Lily is now 7 weeks old and doing great! She is learning about going up stairs (but can't figure out how to get back down) and is as beautiful as ever. She got her second DHPP vaccination today and weighed it at 11 lbs 7 oz. She has the straightest fur of all the puppies with wavy fur on her ears. All the puppies are enjoying having play sessions outside and enjoy romping around in the snow! Must be the thick fur that helps keep them warm which will be great for potty training in the winter!

Lily is getting spayed on Jan. 3rd and will be ready to go to her forever home after that! Let your placement coordinator know if you want some sweet puppy kisses!

It's Lily here! How do you know it's me? Because I have a green collar on AND I'm still the biggest. Joey is trying to get as big as me but I still have him beat. I now weigh 9 lbs. You know how that happens? Because I LOVE to eat. And if momma Macy is around.....you can almost always find me and Joey trying to nurse. Sometimes FM (foster mom) tells us to leave her alone.....but I pretend that I don't understand English. :)

Life is great, I love sleeping, eating, playing, and exploring with my siblings and our mom. FM has classical music playing in our room and we go to the speakers and try to figure out where the heck the music is coming from.

We have graduated from canned food to kibble with water added. It's good and all....but if Mommy is around, we whine and beg for some of her good ole' fashioned milk. She lets us nurse for a bit and then tells us to go play. And play we do! We have discovered that running around the kiddie pool and in and out of it is a great time. Even the middle of the night is a good time for a game of tag! We are working on our turns and speed, but practice makes perfect!

FM thinks our Daddy might have been a Newfoundland or a Newfoundland mix. She googled pictures of Newfie puppies and we look just like them and that would explain our gorgeous fur and bigger size. Of course, our mom will never tell her if she's right or not. Sometimes, family secrets just need to stay in the family.

I should probably go have a snack.....I need to stay big and strong so I can learn more about this big world! But if you want to meet me or my siblings, let your placement coordinator know and she will send you our way! See you soon!
