Lipdin (Mamba 11-334)

Profile

Meet Mamba! She is one of Hope's 10 puppies. She is a Golden Retriever/Black Lab cross and is cute as can be! She has a mostly black coat with a white patch on her chest. Mamba was born on Saturday 9/24, making her 4 weeks old! Ms. Mamba is one of the biggest pups of the bunch! She loves to pin down her brothers :) She is acts like one of the boys. She is one of the first puppies to come to the edge of the pool or the pen and wag her little tail. She loooves people!  The puppies are all thriving! They are busy exploring their world and being cute... which they are very good at! They are also very good at making a mess and making us laugh! They have recently started eating a softened kibble and drinking water from a bowl, in addition to nursing from their mom. The puppies LOVE to eat. I joke that my foster puppies are very "advanced" for their age..... because they live with a 2 1/2 year old little boy and they want to get the heck outta here :)  Mamba has to stay with us and her brothers and sisters (and mama too) for awhile yet... but she is ready to meet that very special family that she will call his own when the time comes. Please let your placement advisor know if you are interested in meeting Mamba. Prepare to fall in love! Stay tuned and watch them grow :)  A very special thank you to all of the supporters! So many very generous RAGOM volunteers and other dog lovers have gone above and beyond to make sure they puppies and Hope have everything they need. It takes a village, and we certainly feel the love and appreciate it very, very much!

Mamba is the biggest fluff ball of all of the puppies! Super adorable :) She is one of the biggest pups and surely one of the sweetest. She is all about the lovin' and will snuggle in your arms longer than any of the others. She loves the little tunnel we have set up down in the puppy palace :) She zooms through and goes back for more!

A very special family drove 6 hours about a month ago and after much thought decided that this little one was their girl :) She will join 2 GR siblings (and a fellow RAGOM dog!) in about one week!! Until then... she will hang her at her foster home, have her spay surgery, and one last vet check and then off she will go to begin her new life. We are very excited for our fluffy girl and we know she will have a wonderful life :)

The puppies turned 5 weeks old on Saturday! Time sure does fly :) I am happy to report that all 10 pups are happy, healthy, spunky, and pretty much perfect in every way! They are a very social bunch and are lucky enough to interact with a large variety of people of all ages. Giving them a ton of positive interactions with people and my dogs will help them grow to be confident, social and good all around dogs! Any family who adopts one of these beauties will be very lucky and very happy!

The pups were dewormed for the first time early last week. It is extremely common for puppies to have worms so this was not a surprise, nor cause for concern. We picked up the deworming medication and after a few days of passing large amount of worms the puppies are back to feeling good again. We will deworm them again in a week or so, and most likely when they move to their new families they will have one last dose.

Speaking of moving to their new families... both Zorro and Mamba are officially "adoption pending"!!! We are very very excited to know that these sweet babes are both going to fantastic homes! As hard as it will be to say goodbye to them when it comes time to move on, we know they will be loved and cherished (and their families have promised to keep us updated with pictures as they grow)! Two other families are coming this weekend to meet the crew... wish the puppies luck as they prepare to charm their forever family!

All of the puppies will be making their first trip to the vet on Friday! I will report back after their appointment. We anticipate a good report :) Let's hope foster mom survives the 10 puppy vet trip.... ;)

I must send a huge THANK YOU to my fellow RAGOM volunteers for their continued help and support! It would NOT be possible to take this on without you. It means so much!! :)

New individual pictures and updates next time! Stay Tuned!
