Meet Logan! He is a VERY nice boy! Logan is 5 years old and was surrendered to RAGOM because his family does not have time for him anymore. He is reported to be good with children but from what I have seen so far, I would say kids who are very steady on their feet as he is a bit of a bull in the china cabinet! He is a very big boy (needs to lose a few pounds) and his tail could leave bruises it wags so hard.

Logan has been with us for a few days--thanks to Corrin and Ann for transporting him! He is starting to relax now but still feels the need to follow me everywhere--and never without a toy or two in his mouth. I have 3 resident dogs and he is fine with them--even my snarky female. He doesn't want to share his toys (what dog does?) but won't fight over them either. My snarky female is now trying to get him to play and he is ignoring her. Not sure about cats but he doesn't seem to have a big prey drive like one of my other dogs.

Logan is neutered but not up to date on his vaccinations so we will take care of that in his wellness visit this week. Aside for needing to lose a few pounds he seems very healthy. He is active and loves to fetch so, along with the green bean diet he is on, I see him losing the extra weight quickly. He is just a big, happy boy!

Logan is crate trained and so far is crated while I am away at work. I was going to try him with free roam today but by the time I was ready to leave, he was in his crate. He goes in on his own occasionally for a nap. He sleeps on the floor in the bedroom with the rest of us, although I always gate my dogs in so I know where everyone is. He sleeps through the night and doesn't wake me in the morning.

Logan doesn't countersurf and doesn't seem to need a fence. We have a large fenced in yard but he shows no interest in the world outside of it. He much prefers to have me throw his toys.

Does he sound perfect? Well, he nearly is! Act quickly because this sweet, happy boy will not be with me long.

Hi, Logan fans! Logan has settled in and knows the routine now. He knows the coming and going, eating schedule and bedtime schedule. He sleeps all night in a dog bed. Logan loves the cold weather and snow! He wants nothing more than to fetch his toy. He got in a psat with one of my dogs while gaurding his toy so there are none in the house now. He kindly drops them at the door when we come in.

Logan is meeting a family this weekend so paws crossed it is a match and Logan will be in his new forever home for Christmas!

Logan had his wellness exam at the vet yesterday and he is in great health! Well, just the extra weight, is all. He weighed in at a whoppping 116 pounds! At first the vet thought he should be around 90 pounds but when she did her exam, she could feel ribs and see w bit of a waistline so modified that to 100 pounds. He has a large frame :). They helped me clip a few mats out of his coat (as Golden's are prone too) and he looks great now.

So, he is up to date on all of his vaccinations and is microchipped. He was previously neutered and is now ready for his forever family.

Did I mention that he loves to fetch?? He is a bit obsessed with fetching but drops his toys at the door when I ask him too since we don't fetch in the house. Logan met a 4 year old girl at the vet and he was very sweet to her. I think he might have knocked her over in some circumstances. He was not exuberant with her but I am not sure he knows how big he is!  He doesn't get on the furniture, sleeps on the floor in the bedroom and the crate has been put away.

If he sounds like the boy for you, email your placement advisor. Logan has minimal needs and will fit into most any active home.
