Lucy 07-639

Profile

Lucy and her half-brother have come to RAGOM from a loving home due to the family's situation.

She is a two year spayed golden weighing 74 pounds, and a pretty girl.

Lucy loves to wrestle with her brother, get hugs and play with toys.  She is house trained and goes into her crate nicely.

Lucy is getting along fine with foster dad's 'dominant' female shepherd.  In fact, when the shepherd puts Lucy in a 'play down', Lucy just rolls over and wags her tail.

Lucy does chase our cats, but since they are used to golden pups, she's never gotten real close.  Both Lucy and her brother love to play and run in our fenced yard forever, and a fenced yard would be best for Lucy.  She is absolutely 'Miss Manners' in the house; however, when she is outside Lucy has no idea what 'come' means.  We think to Lucy it means 'I'll come when I'm ready, so come play with me'. We're working with Lucy to leave her brother's food alone after she gobbles her food, since her brother would let her eat it all.  She's learning to 'leave it' and come play instead.

Lucy has no issues, but is anxious when her brother is not nearby, and will search for him.  If she can't find him, Lucy shows some anxiety and whines.  And at this point, we feel it would be best to keep them together forever.  We'll continue to evaluate her needs.

Here are some pictures of Lucy and her brother.  She is the lighter golden and he is medium golden with white feet.
