Lucy (Chloee 06-492)

Profile

11/20/06: Chloee was the seventh of the Boo Bears to be born. Chloee?s parents were from a puppy mill and so she is a purebred Golden Retriever. Chloee came into this world at 12:56 am on October 25th, 2006 and will be ready for adoption on December 18th, 2006. Chloee will be four weeks on 11/23/06.

Chloee came into this world weighing .9 pound. At two weeks of age she weighed 2.25 pounds (one of the smallest at two weeks old), and I believe she will weigh close to 3 pounds when we go to the vet later this week. Chloee has had her deworming and will do another dose this week. In two weeks she will get her first set of puppy shots!

Chloee was named Chloee for no other reason than we liked it and also I knew of another volunteer that had a Chloee. So we named this one Chloee because we could put ?EE? at the end. I know, stupid. Chloee is very strong willed, and when she wants you to do something she will carry on until you get it right. She will do this bark and growl and rumbling noise until she gets what she wants. It really is a toss up between her and Sophee as to who makes more noise. If you are interested in adopting Chloee, please let placementatragom [dot] org know and we can set up a meeting.

From Lucy's forever family:

Lucy/Chloee is doing very well. She is an Adirondack dog now, yep we live in New York in Adirondack Park - an absolutely beautiful place to live.

Lucy has three brothers - Gromit, who welcomed her as a baby; Thor, a German Shepherd and Henry, a Cocker Spaniel and also a rescue. They all get along very well and have plenty of opportunity to play. Lucy has an interesting personality. She's very "girly" and tends to be a bit passive-aggressive - last one in at playtime etc., but she's generally very well behaved and extremely affectionate. I've attached photos of everyone.

Mistee Bubbles here. Hey did you hear that Chloee is still available – how can that be? My Chloee has the most beautiful face of all the puppies. You know that Chloee is the puppy that I stole out of the whelping box and brought to the couch to cuddle with on Day 4, don’t you?

Chloee needs to find her own home just like Rowdee, but Chloee tends to be the spirited one. However, I think that may be changing. I have noticed she does not want to play with me as much and wants to sleep more. She also loves to put her head on stuffed animals and sleep with them. I think she is dreaming of her new home. Please contact placementatragom [dot] org to set up a meeting with her.

Aunty Kelly brought her family over and boy, was Chloee a good girl. We are not sure if it is because we are bringing her out a couple of times a day to play outside and so she is doing so much exploring or Kelly’s sister had the magic touch – but take a look at this picture! It was so funny to see Chloee as a little rag doll - it was great.

Chloee is looking for someone that will have time to bring her to puppy classes and have time to take her for walks and just love her! She is a very good girl as long as she is a tired puppy. Plus she has the sweetest face of any of the boo babies. If you are interested in meeting our little Chloee, please email placementatragom [dot] org for a meet and greet!

Chloee is growing by leaps and bounds. Yesterday she went to the vet and we found out she had a major case of roundworms – I hate roundworms - they are these nasty long worms that are really gross and hard on the pups’ insides. So the good news is everyone, including Mom and Newfoundlands, are being treated and everyone should be on the path of better weight gain.

Chloee weighed in at 4.19 pounds – she is the 2nd to smallest but by far the most vocal. Yes, she has surpassed Ms. Sophee in that department. Chloee has spunk, is all I have to say. Don’t get me wrong, she is a total love, but boy when she wants to play, she plays rough and wants to play hard. But she is tiny so that is why she beats up on everyone, I think. If you are interested in having a fun loving puppy come to live with you and want to go to puppy kindergarten and beyond, this is your girl! Just look at these eyes and nose – her eyes are so beautiful and her nose is incredible! Please email placementatragom [dot] org so we can set up a meet and greet.
