Luke is a 2-1/2 year old, shoulder-to-tail wagging, blocky head, male purebred Golden Retriever. He lived the last few months outside at his previous home and became the dad to Hunter, Holy, Humphrey, Homer, Heidi and Hannah. His fathering days are over however as he was neutered at the vet clinic on Monday prior to coming into foster care. He met the other five dogs here with no problem. He listens well when my females tell him that it's their couch and their toys. He just walks away with his body waggin' in search of a toy to call his own. In typical GR fashion, he does like to carry tennis balls and stuffed toys, but willingly gives it up to me when asked. He was pretty matted when he appeared at the vet clinic over the weekend, so his tail fur and leg feathering are shaved off. It doesn't stop that tail from wagging, he just looks a little funny with a furry Golden body and a skinny hairless tail. But it will grow back. As with any young GR, he could use a little obedience training. He's not bad, likes to jump on the couch which is a no-no right now since he didn't get a bath before his surgery and is a little stinky. Looking forward to when the incisions are healed and he can get his much needed bath. This boy is going to be a great friend and fun buddy for some lucky family. Will write more after he's been here for a few days. He won't be in foster care for long, he's a super nice dog.
