8/20/06: Little miss Lula arrived here yesterday. She is a sweet, beautiful, full- figured 8 1/2 year old. She met a cat for the first time and thought it was a very scary looking creature. She's not quite sure what to make of that weird noise this creature makes, but she is keeping her distance just in case it is contagious.

She loves to play fetch and is very creative. She found it very exciting to bring the ball back to my two-year-old neighbor and push the ball under the fence with her nose so the toddler could grab it and throw it back to her.

Lula will be going to her permanent foster home on Tuesday. More information on Lula will be coming once we get to know her better.

In this world as we grow older we should be proud, proud enough to be a part of the purple hat society. Lu may be 8.5 years old but she's proud of her age and will tell anyone how great senior gals are.

Why love a senior?? Our time together will be so short...that is where you're wrong. You will treasure every moment and I guarantee that you will thank RAGOM some day for letting you adopt one of our senior gals. I have fostered a lot of seniors and I love each one. The love they give you is priceless and you will never be able to find the words to explain the love of a senior.

Lu is already perfect...it's her time to teach you to slow down and enjoy a great game of fetch, important cuddle time, most of all teach you the importance of complete and unconditional love. You will run home every day just to see her smile and watch her dance of joy..and it's all for you.

Lu is the type that if you have had a bad day she is waiting to cheer you up with a big hug and smile. If you had a great day she will be there to help you celebrate. A senior knows how to read your emotions and will give you all the love to help you through anything. So why adopt a senior?? Because they will be the stories that you tell everyone over and over again. Because they are the ones that rescued you and not the other way around. Are you ready for such a love? Then apply quickly, grab a tennis ball, and get ready to have your heart stolen.
