Tiara # 07-307 and her sister Kiara # 07-308 arrived at my house on Wednesday evening. Both are pretty shy little girls when it comes to people, Kiara more so then her sister. Both are happy, energetic pups, who love toys, playing with the big resident dogs, and treats. The "Girls" came up of Iowa and both have had their rabies shots, a set of puppy shots, and have been already spay. Their booster shots are due May 25th - 30th, and I'll be taking them in next week to have their sutures removed. They are adorable golden/Labrador crosses. Kiara is a light tan in color with a little white blaze on her forehead and nose, with white tips on her toes, Tiara is a solid light buff. Both girls have beautiful black lined eyes (I am jealous!). Over the course of the next few days, we'll be working on sitting for treats, potty training, and over coming their shyness. What a GReat puppy Winnie is! We were lucky enough to spend this long weekend with her. She is a cuddly puppy and loves to lay on the couch by us and snuggle with our other dogs too. She hasn't chewed anything inappropriate at all which is a huge feat for a teething puppy! We can't say enough GReat things about her and are surprised she is still here with us. Not that we mind. She is more well-behaved than any other golden we've ever raised. She is often over-looked by potential families because she is not a purebred, however, Winnie got the best from both breeds. Her coat doesn't shed nearly as much as a golden retriever, and she has the velcro-dog golden retriever personality. Winnie went to the vet and has a clean bill of health. A note from Tiara a.k.a. Winnie:

Hi everyone. Last night I got a new foster home so I had to change my name. Tiara sounds too much like Sierra who already lives at this house (plus I like to get dirty anyways and Tiara doesn’t really fit me to be honest.) I really don’t know my name yet, so that is great! I miss my sister Kiara (07-308) but there are 3 goldens here to play with so I keep busy! My other foster Mom thought Kiara and I should split up so we didn’t depend so much on each other. There is this one special dog here named Autumn (07-180) and she even let me snuggle in her kennel with her last night so I wouldn’t cry. She told me she used to be a mama doggy all the time so she likes to take care of me, YEAH! I also have a big brother, Stetson, an older puppy sister Sierra to play with. Sierra taught me how to dig a hole already. Boy that is fun! And then I roll in it and my blonde coat gets all brown. My new Mom and Dad said I am a very friendly puppy. I love to give kisses and show off my puppy breath. I love to chew since I’m teething and have a few favorite toys. I have beautiful eyes and my coat is really pretty. I got a bath last night too and sat like a princess in the tub. I LOVE to eat food since I have to grow up nice and strong. I met a big purple machine last night named Dyson. Dad told me he cleans up our floor by sucking up all the dirt and pet hair, but boy is he loud! I got kind of scared of him and hid behind Mom’s legs. I met some hairy things called cats too. It is funny to play bow at them and get them to make this MEOW noise. I just like to see if they want to play with me. Who wouldn’t want to play with me? I get to go to the vet tomorrow and get my second round of vaccinations. I am already spayed so I’m pretty much ready to start looking for my forever home.
