Maggie (Scamp 08-271)

Profile

I would love to introduce you all to Scamp, although here at the house she is known as Maggie Mae, Mag Pie, Maggers, etc. She is a beautiful red PB that is 4 months old.

Maggie came to our house from a clinic in Jewell, IA. The breeder that had owned her was unable to find her and her siblings (5 others) a home so she is now a RAGOM girl. Maggie is all puppy, but in a good way. She is still getting used to our routine and the house, but I think she's doing very well.

We have started training her to sit, lay down, and shake. She can sit and lay down (if you have a treat). We have not had an accident of any kind in the house (knock on wood). She even wimpered a little earlier so we went outside and she did both jobs. Yea Maggie! She is calm but likes to play and is not rough when she does. She likes to counter surf and table surf, but is really good at listening when she is being corrected. She even listens to the 3 year old!

We are crating her at night. She will cry for a little while but settles down very quickly. She is getting along well with our resident dog Lennon (another golden) but I don't think she's too sure about our other resident dog Oden (a Shorkie). She is fine with him, but kind of looks at him like "what are you?". Kind of funny.

The clinic when I picked her up said that she had round worms but was treated for it and she has been microchipped. She goes to the vet next week so she can be rechecked and so we can continue with her vaccinations. She still needs to be spayed but we can figure that out when she meets the vet.

So if you're looking for the most beautiful girl in the world contact placementatragom [dot] org  I have added a couple of pictures but they really don't do her justice.

I am pleased to announce that Maggie has been adopted by Elizabeth L. Elizabeth fell in love with Maggie and drove all the way to Iowa to see her. Maggie being the princess that she is was perfect and thought Elizabeth would make a great mom as well. Maggie is now off to her furever family and we couldn't be more excited for her.

Thank you Maggie for being a perfect 1st foster for this family.

Thank you Elizabeth for being the person that would complete Maggie. We wish you all the best and will continue to stay in touch and see how our little Maggie is progressing.

A final thanks to RAGOM for rescuing this beautiful dog and giving her a chance to have the life and family she deserves.

Here is a picture of Maggie with her new mom.

Maggie here. FM got to do all the talking last time so I thought I should tell you about me. Well let's see, I have so many new experiences I don't know where to start. FM said I am going to the vet on Monday. They have to recheck a fecal and update my shots. Wish me luck!

I am adjusting very well to my foster home. There are so many things to play with. I have 2 fur brothers that are teaching me new things and 3 little people in this house to give me tons of attention. FM and FD spoil me rotten. FM stays home with one of the little people so I get attention all day long. I know when my forever family chooses me that may not happen anymore, but I know that I will be even happier to see them when they get home.

FM started calling me princess since I really do not care to chase after balls. I am happy enough to chew on my stuffies and the little people's stuffies when they aren't watching. Theirs taste so much better!

I still counter and table surf but I am getting the impression that FM doesn't like that much and I am doing a lot better if I do say so myself. Guess what?! FM thinks I am really smart. I can sit and lay down. She is teaching me how to shake and I can roll over even. What can I say, I am a sucker for a treat. :) Another thing, I haven't had any accidents in the house either! Am I good or what? Well FM thinks I am at least.

I love to have my belly rubbed. Did I mention that already? I love the belly rubs!

Well I think I better go, if FM hates me on the counters and tables she'll really have a fit if I'm on her computer. Don't tell her okay? It'll be our little secret. I have added a couple extra pictures of me. They bring out my good side. What am I talking about... a princess has nothing but good sides! Just joking!

Until we meet again,

Maggie
