Maizy 13-245

Please welcome Maizy to RAGOM!  This special girl is about 4 weeks old and sweet as can be!  Hard to believe, when she has to fight her way through NINE brothers just to get a bite of food or a soft place to sleep.  Her momma (Scooby 13-241), Maizy and I are the only females in the house amongst a sea of males -- 11 dogs, 1 cat, and 3 two-leggers.  If you added right you came up with 3 girls and 15 boys!  You can watch a video of the puppies here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Q7pHt5gHTI

Maizy will be in foster care for another four weeks or so while the puppies are weaned and get altered.  If you are interested in a sweet female mystery mix, please contact your placement advisor!

Last weekend, Maizy came to eastern IA to stay with us so she could meet a very special family!  We have been helping take care of her brothers, that are fostered by another local foster home, so it was fun to meet the only female puppy in the litter!  Maizy did great with her potty training while she was with us and she was so fun to have around!

More importantly, Maizy has been adopted!  Her new mom was already in love with her just by reading about her on the website, and we knew it was a match right away after we went to their house for our first meeting!  Maizy will now be living on a farm where she will have room to play and burn off all that puppy energy!  Her new mom has already reported back to me that she is doing well with her potty training and they just love her to pieces!  Maizy loves all her new toys and her new dog bed!  The only thing they are having to watch out for is her sharp puppy teeth!

Congratulations to Maizy and her new family!

It's only Maizy and the big dogs at the house now. Max 13-242 was adopted yesterday. She does miss her brother and is starting to cuddle with resident dog Ollie, which she never did when Max was here.

She will be a smart one. We already taught her to sit on command. At night we put her in the play pen but soon will start putting her in a kennel so she starts getting used to that. When she's playing, I let all the dogs out every half hour. Having the big dogs as role models, she should be potty trained in no time.

Socialization is very important at this age. I'll soon be bringing her to puppy playtime for her to socialize with other puppies.

Maizy is ready to be adopted, don't miss out on this cutie.

Maizy and her littermate Max 13-242, have moved from Iowa to Minnesota.

Maizy is bold and fearless. She can definitely hang with the big dogs. When they first arrived, Maizy  would run fast forward towards my dogs, who seemed more scared of her, that she was of them. I think Maizy will be a high energy dog and will need an active family to keep her busy.

Maizy is scheduled to be spayed Sept. 27. She is still looking for a forever home.

All Miss Scooby's puppies are growing like weeds!  They are eating hard food and lapping water from a dish -- and are pooping and peeing machines!  They will go for their first shots at the end of this week and then will be leaving their super-awesome momma.  Though they won't be with Scooby, they will still with at least one other litter mate for the next few weeks to continue to socialize and learn the rules of dog-dog interaction.

Princess Maizy has a special family all lined up to meet her!  She is hoping they love sweet, cuddly girls!
