I love this dog. If you are looking for a gentle companion that gets along with everybody, you want to meet Malcolm.
Malcolm came to RAGOM from a humane society where he had been found as a stray. He arrived at our house Monday evening along with two other dogs that also transported with him. He is estimated to be about 1 year old, but he is the best mannered 1 year old I have ever had the pleasure to meet. He is housetrained (cries at the door when he needs to go out), crate trained (but doesn’t need it), doesn’t chew on anything inappropriate and is an absolute love. He met the five dogs here (large and small) in a very polite manner. He ran and played with the two 1 year olds that were transported with him. All three spent the night and we had a slumber party. At the humane society he was introduced to cats and ignored them.
I have attached a head shot picture and one other picture, but I have to work on getting more pictures as these two pictures just don’t do him justice. He has the most gorgeous big eyes and very unique coloring. He was listed as a Golden/Shepherd mix, but his upturned tail (which you can’t see in the picture because he is holding it down) and his prancing gait remind me of a Saluki. Whatever he is mixed with, he is very unique and special. He has a black ring and black tip on his tail. He is a little camera shy and when the camera points at him, his tail goes down and his face gets a more concerned look. Hopefully, I’ll catch him in full extension, happy and relaxed.
Malcolm is cautious and needs some gentle encouragement. He loves to be with you. He will chase tennis balls, hasn’t quite figured out that if he wants me to throw it, he needs to bring it back to me, but he’ll get it eventually. I took him to PetCo tonight and he cautiously walked through the sliding doors and around PetCo with me. He is so incredibly gentle. Did I say, I love this dog? I may repeat myself a dozen more times. He is the easiest dog to have in your house and a sweetheart. I just love this dog.
Malcolm is neutered, up-to-date on shots, heartworm negative and ready to meet his forever family. Someone is going to be so lucky to have Malcolm be their new companion.
