Mandy 05-401

Profile

12/5/05: Mandy was surrendered from a home in the country where she has lived since she was a puppy. She is an 8 year old pure-bred Golden Retriever and has lived outside her whole life. She appears to be healthy, happy, and friendly. The fur around Mandy?s eyes has turned gray/white but she acts quite young and is very energetic. Her fur is very thick and needs some grooming ? I have bathed her and am brushing her when time permits. She has spent two days and nights indoors without having any accidents. She likes to spend some time outside even when it is cold and she does her business out there. I took her for another ride in my vehicle, she was very relaxed and a great co-pilot.

The test results came back on the lump Mandy had removed and it was non-cancerous, very good news! She is healing well from her incisions and her appetite seems to be returning. Mandy appears to be completely house trained and loves her new life. She looks like she is smiling all of the time the way she holds her mouth, which is fitting for a sweetie like her. Mandy has been great with the new puppy, very patient and affectionate to him. He has a very loud personality and likes to bite and chew and she is very tolerant of him and they have become inseparable. I am very grateful to have Mandy here to help with the puppy and she seems to be grateful to me for giving her a home and a person to love. This Friday we have a vet appointment to get Mandy’s stitches taken out and then she should be fully up to date and ready for a forever home.
