Margo 09-456

Profile

Let’s give a warm RAGOM welcome to Margo!

This lovely senior lady (10 years) was surrendered to RAGOM because her family was overwhelmed with full time jobs, a toddler and a newborn on the horizon. Margo is a housetrained, indoor dog who has run of her foster home during the day (9+ hours) and throughout the night.

Margo is spayed, UTD and has almost all of her vet records dating back 10 years.  As with many of our golden Goldens, she has a few bumps which have checked out okay in the past, and we will do our RAGOM vet check this week.

Margo has no aggression or anxiety issues.  She was great with her 2 year old human brother, had a companion fur sister for 9 years (she grieved her loss in April) and gets along fine with the resident cats.  Margo does not need a fence - she loves her walks and does great on a leash.  She is laying here now snoring and is almost as loud as the cats!

Margo is an easy-going companion who could slide right into your life. Give your placement advisor a call if she looks like a keeper for your family.

Just a few more pictures of Margo. She continues to be a little shy (or rascally) when she sees the camera, the cute goes away and she looks everywhere but at the lens!

Here are a few more things about Margo:

* her SO said that tasty items left on the counter sometimes disappear. We haven't had any problems with that, could be no tasty items!!

* she does tend to beg and would love to have human food off the plate. She's good about obeying a firm 'no' and will 'go lay down' when asked.

* when eating, she's sort of 'grazes' and sometimes doesn't eat her breakfast - because the cats love to eat her food, we put it away which means she can't eat again till suppertime.

* she is a true velcro golden, following her people from room to room and loving belly scratches and ear rubs!  At bedtime, she wants to be close, but might be warm as she moves from carpeting to tile and back to carpeting.  She is happy to sleep in and waits til people start moving around to want to go outside in the morning.

* I would trust Margo walking my 80 year old Mother or running with my 23 year old son

Enjoy her photos.

Margo visited the vet and she is in good shape for her age.  As we were looking over her records, we found out her birthday is October 25, 1998 which means she just turned eleven.  She weighed in at 76.0 pounds, a good weight for her body build.  Margo’s blood work came back good and she has the stamp of approval and is ready for her furever home!

AND….there is a family interested in meeting her!  Paws crossed that this family and Margo are the perfect match!

FM tried to get some more photos of Margo, but she is kind of shy.  As you can see, Margo is interested in the cats and would love to play with them, the cat's reaction: ho hum.  They all do fine.  Enjoy!
