Mattie is estimated by her vet to be 3 years old. The surrendering family got her from the Humane Society. She was surrendered because the owners report she has spay incontinence. There was also an issue with not being able to spend time with her. The family had 6 children and dad is deployed in Iraq. She has been in foster care for 2.5 days. She has had no problems with incontinence so far. She is a very gentle friendly dog. She follows us everywhere and lays calmly at our feet every time we sit down. She is a little timid. The surrendering family thinks she may have been abused by her original owner. She gets along great with children, other dogs and cats. She hasn't barked once since coming to foster care. Her picture doesn't do her justice. She is a beautiful blonde. Her family gave her a summer cut so she looks a bit like a yellow lab but she is a pure bred Golden. She loves to play fetch and knows most basic obedience commands. She sleeps on her blanket at night. She has no issues with resource guarding. When given a treat she takes it very gently. She will be a great family pet.
