It is my pleasure to introduce to you a very handsome seven year old named Max!  He has been here a little more than a week now and he has been a very welcome addition to the family.  He is tall and slender, weighs 68 pounds and has a lot of energy.  He loves people and other dogs.  He is good with cats.  He has a fondness for tennis balls and stuffed toys, often carrying around two at a time.  He loves cars and car rides.  He is a quiet sleeper.  He enjoys trips to Grandma’s.  He is always happy.  He likes quiet evenings in front of the TV and daytime walks in the park.  He is a typical Golden who just wants to be your best friend.

Max’s first week here went very well.  His first night he completely emptied the toy box and spread its contents across the floor.  That was nice because it gave me the opportunity to toss out some of the items that hadn’t been touched for years (now I wish I could get him to help with dusting and vacuuming, too).  Since that first night he has settled in quite nicely and he seems to be very comfortable living here.  He has been very well behaved since he arrived.  He rarely barks.  He has no resource guarding issues.  His tail is always wagging.  And he likes to have a tennis ball or stuffed animal tossed for him to fetch.  But when he brings it back, he likes to make a game out of trying to get the ball or stuffed animal from him.  He gets a big kick out of doing that.

That is a brief introduction to this beautiful boy.  More to come as I get to know Max better!
