Welcome Tess to the RAGOM family!  Tess is an adorable 6 month old Golden!  She was rescued from a puppy mill in Iowa, and has joined RAGOM hoping to find a new Golden life with her forever family.  Since she came from a puppy mill where she was not very well taken care of, she is still a little skittish and scared, but the curious puppy side is starting to take over!

Tess is about 10 pounds underweight, which we are working on fixing!  She has recently started taking treats from us, and is learning from her foster sister all about the joys of eating regular meals and how yummy treats are.  She was slightly dehydrated and had an infection when we received her, so we are working on those issues before her vaccinations, which should be in a week or so, as

well as being spayed.  She is micro chipped.

While she is still scared, she is a sweet lil girl!  She loves to get belly rubs & have her ears rubbed, and is starting to seek out love from her foster family.  I think in no time she will have adjusted and will be a fun loving puppy.  We are also working on the potty training, as she is not trained yet.  But, we have only had a few accidents, and she knows to go on a puppy pad when nature calls.

She gets along great with other dogs, and doesn't mind our cats.  She has been around kids, and right now is somewhat indifferent to them also.  She will sleep in a crate, but you have to coax her into it.  I think it brings back memories of the puppy mill, so she is not a huge fan of them.  Tess takes a lot of her

cues from our resident dog, and I would highly recommend the adopting family has another dog who can help to "train" Tess as to good doggy manners and behaviors.  She doesn't bark, and occasionally whines if she wants your attention.

Tess is a sweet little girl who needs a family that will be patient with her as she adjusts to her new golden life.  She loves playing outside, car rides, and is a huge fan of the water and kiddie pools.Tess would love to have a fur sibling at her forever family also. She cuddles with the best of them!

Tess is turning into quite the spunky little puppy now that she is feeling better!  She went on her first camping and hiking trip over the weekend and was enjoying the outdoors and all the other dogs, as well as the pets from friends.  She tears around chasing the other dogs, hoping they will join her in her puppy antics.  As Tess is in the stage of more legs then body, sometimes her feet get ahead of the rest of her and she goes tumbling down, but even that doesn't slow her down much.

Tess loves to cuddle and enjoyed sharing the bed with us while camping, and loves to give kisses.  We heard her lil puppy bark for the first time on Sunday!

She is still shy around strangers and kids, but is seeking out attention from us and from people once she warms up to them.  We are working on the potty training still, and learning to respect baby gates.  Here are some pics of her camping, the bigger one is our golden, Selby.
