Megan was adopted to her forever home on Sunday. She moved out of the big city to Rochester, Minnesota.

Megan met her new family’s two resident dogs, a 12-year-old Black Lab and a fellow surrendered breeder male from RAGOM. Megan met both with no issues then spent time learning all the smells around the home, ate her dinner, and took a nap.

Megan is a purebred Golden Retriever who came to RAGOM via a commercial breeder. She has a genetic heart murmur and could no longer be used as a breeder dog. The RAGOM vet could not detect the heart murmur so we don't have a grade on it, but it is assumed to be low and should not affect her long-term health.

She has not shown typical breeder girl traits. She is very affectionate, social, and is a complete shadow. When I walk into the house, she gives me full tippy taps and can’t wait to be petted. She comes right in when I open the door. First night with me she did have an accident but has not since.

She gets along great with the resident dog and fits right in. Megan will need another medium to large, confident dog in her forever home to continue learning about life as a family member. Children in Megan’s home should be at least 10 years old.

Because she recently had puppies, Megan will be spayed in the next month or so. She does have a hernia that will be fixed when she is spayed. She is up to date on all of her vaccinations.

Megan is a very sweet and gentle girl and is looking for her forever home.
