My name is Merlin, me and my litter mates were born on October 18th 2010 which makes me just under 7 weeks old. My mom was a Golden Retriever and my dad is unknown. I am a sweet little boy, with a stong, determined look on my face and I am fast like my namesake. I have a lot of fun with my litter mates and you will find me leading them in runs around our box. I would love to find a forever home, but will need to stick around my litter mates for a little bit longer. Foster dad took me to the vet and I have been de-wormed and had my first injections. I am scheduled to be neutered on 12/9/2010, and I can go home to my forever family on 12/13/2010. So if you are ready to have the wisdom of Merlin love in your home for Christmas please contact your placement advisor. Although I cannot leave my litter until 12/13 my foster home is ready to meet applicants.

Are there any Merlin fans out in RAGOMLand?!?! I know that it has been a little while since an update, but I think that you will like this update!

Mr. Merlin got to go in and have a couple of pictures done with a local photographer who was in need of a puppy to take some pictures of.  So Merlin, being the gentleman that he is, said that he would be more than willing to have some done…for a fee…of doggie treats ;) Kristen of Thru Him Photography (thruhimphotography.com) is such a wonderful photographer!  She took some great photos and Merlin and FM would like to share them with all of RAGOMLand!!  If you get a chance check out the website of Thru Him Photography. Kristen has so kindly said she will do some more pictures of future fosters.  I think you can see from these photos of Merlin that she is very passionate about her work.

Hello Ragom world!!
 
Merlin is doing just wonderful! Growing up so fast! Merlin and Otter went in for another round of shots last tuesday and the both weigh in at over 15 lbs now! And FM believes this, because she is usually picking them up and carrying them around :) In a couple of weeks they go in for one more round of shots, and it will be interesting to see what they weigh then! :)
 
We are trying to teach Merlin some manners, but of course he IS a puppy and will not listen all the time. He does have NO down pretty good ;) We are now feeding the siblings seperatly and working on sit, and then they get their food. We have a big puppy play pen they can rough house in together :) Otherwise we let them run around and run all their energy off! Merlin will now go stare at the door and whine when he needs to go out! Such a good boy!! The bigger dogs are wanting to play with them more and more, but they will let the puppies know when they have crossed a line. And that is what is helping Merlin learn so quickly! :) We have such good teachers!

Merlin is just a little bundle of joy who keeps us entertained, along with Otter of course! They have now figured out how to climb onto the recliners and they just go NUTS! :) Merlin likes to use the recliners to jump off of and get his sister :) Silly boy!

Merlin is neutered and ready for his FUREVER home! :) I know he doesn't look like a Retriever, but he is going to be a GREAT dog for a GREAT family! He is smart! Happy New Year Everyone!!
 
Hope that everyone had a great holiday season! We just recieved about 2 feet of snow for our New Years here in Western Mn! :) Now it is just cold and windy.
 
Merlin is doing just wonderful! He of course is a growing puppy, and loves to play with his sister Otter, and try and chew on FM's toes ;) Stinker! He sleeps so well with his sister at night in their kennel, and we will keep them babygated in the kitchen at times so they don't get into everything :) Merlin likes to play with our resident dog Ginger, he tries to play with some of the others, but sometimes he will get to playful and they have to let him know when it is too much. But that is good for puppies to learn! He is getting good about potty training. He will whine when he needs to go out, we still have the occasional accident (on the pee pad) but we are learning! :) We put them by the door and say "go potty" and out the door they run! :)

 

Merlin will go in for another shot in a week, but he is already neutered and ready for his forever home! He will be 11 weeks old on the 3rd! They grow up so fast!! ;)

Merlin is doing just wonderful. He loves to play with his sister Otter, and the resident foster dog Ginger. Merlin went to the vet on Monday to get some more shots and the vet checked out his neuter mark and everything looks perfect! He now weighs in at 10lbs J Which is .5lb less than his sister Otter. He is a growing boy that is for sure.

Merlin is your typical puppy. Not fully potty trained, but he is learning, and he likes to chew and chew and chew some more J He is learning quickly what the word “no” means! J He is going to need a family that understands puppies. He will need training; an obedience class will be really good! Merlin sleeps in the kennel at night with his sister and they both do really well, sleeping from about 9:30 to 4am, when FD gets up for work. FD will then let them out and they go back to sleep until about 6:30 when FM gets up J During the day they stay in their kennel and they keep it pretty clean. FM has been coming home during lunch and letting them out, but the next couple of days she won’t be able to. We will see how they do ;)

Hello Ragom world!

I know that you have already met Merlin, but now he is in a new foster home! :) Merlin would like to say thank you to his first foster home for taking him in and take such good care of his brothers and sisters. :)

Merlin is an ACTIVE, PLAYFUL, PUPPY! :) He loves, to chew, chew, play, chew, play, eat, chew, eat, poop and sleep! :) We took in not only Merlin, but his sister Otter as well, so they love to play together. Merlin of course is not fully potty trained, after all he is just a young puppy. He is getting used to going outside with all the other dogs and doing his business, but sometimes he will have an accident.

He and Otter stay in a kennel together and I keep a pee pad in there for them, but they keep their kennel clean! :) So proud of them! They do use the pee pad, and that is good! They also sleep in the kennel together and don't make a peep at night :)

FM is taking Merlin to the vet on Monday to get some more shots, and another check over. Merlin has been neutered already.

As you can see in the picture he is adorable! The picture is of Merlin and our Resident dog Ginger playing :)

FM will send another update once we have gotten to know him better :)
