Hello everyone, Mia checking in. I'm all moved in to my new foster home. I really wondered what was going on the day I moved in. I was greeted by 5 other Goldens and 2 Poodles! I wondered to myself, is this household crazy?!?!?! Between you and me, "YES" is the answer - but I'm liking it! My foster mom explained to me that she was dog-sitting two of the Goldens, but the other 3 Goldens and 2 Poodles would be my foster sibs.
It didn't take me long to find my favorite spot in the house - it's in my human sib's bedroom. Mom says it's the favorite of most fosters.
On Saturday, I attended the Pet Expo and was a mascot in the RAGOM booth. People thought I was just beautiful and I got many, many pets - as well as treats. Everyone wanted to give us mascots treats. A toddler in a stroller gave me a treat and I very gently took it out of his hand - what a good girl I am!!!!!
My foster mom, dad, brother and I walked around to look at the other booths, and guess what? More treats! I tell you though, I don't know that I've seen that many human knees in one day before! There were a lot of people there!!! I was pretty tired when I got home - I took a nice long nap!
My foster mom thought I was a little shy at first (heck, with 7 other dogs there, who wouldn't be?) but I'm really coming out of my shell. I know exactly where the treats are kept, and I get right in line and patiently wait my turn. My foster mom was cleaning out under my human sib's bed last night and I got right under there with her - we were cheek to cheek! I no longer only hang out in my favorite spot - I hang with my foster family a lot more. My foster sister, Shirley, has a waterbed on the first floor - it's pretty cool and comfortable. My foster mom also has a baby crib mattress out for us to lay on - that's not bad either.
I've got a bit of arthritis in my left hip, but I'm on a diet and my foster mom says that losing a few pounds will help immensely - just ask Shirley! I also take an aspirin a day so I can hop up and down the stairs and go for nice long walks without discomfort.
I hear a treat calling......I'll check in later. Mia
I loved greeting everyone who stopped by our RAGOM booth at the Pet Expo!
