Meet Mia.  She was born on February 4th, 2008 at 6:23pm.  She weighed 14.2 ozs.  So far she is a very noisy eater.  She does a lot of moaning, grunting, and whining while she eats.  Today she weighs 15.2 ozs.  She is absolutely beautiful!!!

 Mia is getting so big.  She weighs just over 9 lbs. now.  She's still nursing but also likes to eat and drink from the big bowls.  We have a little explorer here.  She just figured out how to crawl out of her whelping box.  She uses her mother as a step stool.  I can close the entrance but I think Nicely might have trouble getting in and out if I do.  If Mia wants to explore the office we will let her as long as she is supervised.  When she's not napping or eating, she is playing.  She loves to play and play and play.

Mia is such a cutie!  She's growing so fast.  She now weighs 5 1/2 lbs just like her brother.  It's sometimes hard to tell where one puppy ends and the other begins.  She still spends most of her time eating and sleeping, but now she also plays.  We have even heard her bark a few times.

Both puppies opened their eyes recently.  They're getting so big.  They both weigh almost 4 lbs each.  I've already clipped their sharp little toenails once.  It's about time to clip them again.  I'm sure Nicely would agree.  These two pups are very popular.  They entertain many visitors almost everyday.

Mia is 11 days old today.  She is twice as big as when she was born, weighing just over 2 lbs.  It's easy to tell the two puppies apart because Mia is lighter colored, she likes to sleep on her back, and she is still the noisiest of the two.  Her mother, Nicely 08-002 takes great care of her puppies.  They are all doing great.
