WOW!!! I made it all the way to RAGOMLAND!!!

Hi There! My name is Molly and I’ve been driving a long time and I finally arrived at my new “Home-away from-Home.” My family that I’ve lived with my whole life has to move away and can’t take me with them so they gave me the directions to RAGOMLAND and HERE I AM! (You know…that MAPQUEST thing is really handy!)

WOW, my butt has not stopped wiggling since I arrived! It’s really weird. Maybe Dorothy had the same feeling when she landed in OZ? HEY…Do you think there might be a Wizard here in RAGOMLAND that will help me find my FOREVER HOME?

My foster family says if I’m looking for some help, I better tell everyone a little about myself. Well, I don’t want to sound like I’m tooting my own horn, but I am what they call a SUPER DUPER GOLDEN LOVER SENIOR! Here are my qualifications to hold such a title:

I’m turning 10 years old on August 3rd. Foster Mom (FM) says you’d never guess my age if I didn’t have my beautiful “glow-in-the-dark” white face. I’m in great shape and health, all up to date w/my shots, my chem panel is right on cue, and I’ve got the muscle tone and physique of an 8 yr. old says the doc… AND I’m the perfect GOLDEN size weighing in at 59.7lbs!

That’s me and my 8 yr. old foster brother Shadow. See, I can keep up with him and the other young fur-butt ladies around here no problem!

I’m a total LOVER! Not in an overwhelming way, but I do love PEOPLE. I give great kisses too…ask anyone. I totally love other dogs! And my original family says I like kids and cats, but Foster Mom (FM) will make sure and let you know soon. I was trained on invisible fencing and totally respect physical fencing. I love to run and play, and I also love to rest…well, who doesn’t?

So…that’s me, Molly the Magnificent! And I’m here in RAGOMLAND looking for my “FOREVER FAMILY.” I sure hope that Wizard can get me home in time for my Birthday!

If you think I am the doggie you have been dreaming about, please let your placement advisor know! I’ll be hanging out here in Hugo (a.k.a. OZ) until you arrive!

Many kisses to YOU from ME---Molly 10-171

Hello Friends in RAGOMLAND!

Ohhhh...What a week it was getting all loved up by my foster family. FM asked me everyday if I was ready to go HOME, and every day I said, "YES!" So...after lots of lovin' and belly rubs, FM said today was the day and it was time to go. I gave everyone a big wet kiss and heading to the garage to go for a ride.

FM started to laugh and said, "Oh no Molly, you can't get there from here in a car. I thought the Wizard was bringing you HOME?"

Oh no! The Wizard just left for the cabin---darn holidays! Now what will I do?

Foster fur-butt Brother Shadow called out from the weeds and said, "Follow the Yellow Brick Road Molly!"

Then Foster fur-but Sister Miley yelled, "Follow the Yellow Brick Road Molly!"

Then I looked back at FM---not sure why water was running down her face cuz she had the biggest smile I'd ever seen --and she said, ""Remember Molly, there's no place like HOME!"

Ohhhh yeah! That's right---those were Dorothy's magic words! Thanks FM!

There's no place like home
There's no place like home
There's no place like home

WOW!!!! It worked! I made it HOME!

Look at my new family!!!

THANK YOU RAGOM for making my dreams come true!
I promise to love them forever!

Hello Friends!!!

Well, it’s been a busy couple of days walking the yellow brick road here in RAGOMLAND! We’ve been playing ball and taking baths and playing ball and taking baths….yes, I still have evidence of the Wicked Witch of the West (aka Skunk) on me BUT---so much better now says FM! It’s surely nothing compared to my foster fur-butt brother Jonah who found a dead deer to roll in! Peeee---YOUUUUUU does he stink---so all the bathing was not just for me! HA! But I did join him in a grass roll---I LOVE grass rolls almost as much as I like playing fetch! But FM said I have to work on giving the ball back to the thrower so I can keep playing fetch….hmmmm…. she might have a point there!

Ginnie (the doggie we are caring for) and I are having a good old time hanging out here in RAGOMLAND. She’s a cuddle bug like I am so it works out pretty great for both of us!

Another big weekend ahead for me and my foster family, so I will check in with you again soon!

Have a great weekend!

Hello Friends!

I’m in heaven here in RAGOMLAND! Everyone is so nice and I am having a ball!

I only have one problem maybe you can help me with:

FM keeps calling me a “LOVE BUG.” Do you really think she thinks I’m a bug?

Believe it or not, someone asked FM, “Why would someone want to adopt a 10 yr. old dog?” and you know what she said?

“Are you kidding? SENIORS are the best kept secret in town!” Rock ON FM!!!! Gotta love her!

FM explained…some Seniors just like to hang out with their owners, take leisurely walks and enjoy life together which is a great addition to any family. Some Seniors are great “1st dogs” for new families that want to own a dog but not too sure about all that it entails and Seniors teach new dog owners everything they need to know about owning a dog without any hassles. FM said their 1st dog was a Senior and that’s why they love dogs so much! And then there are Seniors like ME---totally still like a youngster in play and activity, but mature in all the good ways---no destruction, no potty accidents, no problems being left along, no digging, no chewing inappropriate items and totally kid loving and approved!!! My Foster family thinks I would be the BEST dog for a family wanting a “youngster” or “adult” doggie because I have all the best qualities of a youngster without any bad habits to break or worry about! Not to mention---I’m a great runner and FM is even taking me roller-blading today! Told you I’m in great shape! These hips are made for running!

So…that’s a little more about ME! We have a new guest (Former RAGOM doggie Virginia) staying with us for a couple months while her owner goes through a tough operation. I welcomed her with big kisses and even slept next to her last night so she would be comfortable. FM was very proud of me! See, I have great manners too!

Well, off to get ready for my roller-blading adventure….talk to you soon!

Happy Father's Day to ALL YOU Dad's out there!!!

It's ME Molly 10-171!

What a wonderful weekend to celebrate and boy do they know how to celebrate here in RAGOMLAND!

First, my 2-legged foster sister had a big party and introduced me to all her friends! They even let me play the grown-up games! (Well, I am an adult so I just guess that's why!) We had so much fun and I even helped my team win because the other team was mystified with all my Molly moves on the volleyball court! I am quite the athlete!

I played with all my new friends all night and then FM said it was time to come in and let the big kids hang out. Well, I wasn't too happy about that so every time one of the big kids came in, I gave them a big kiss and they let me come outside and play again---HA!!! Kisses work every time! FM didn't think that was too funny, but she found it interesting how I longed to be with the big kids more than cuddled up on the couch inside.

FM said I'm like Betty White---I may be a Senior, but I don't act my age one bit and I'm a huge HIT no matter where I go!

Today, we went to another party and there were MORE kids!!!! Ahhhh...this is totally heaven because I can't even begin to tell you how much I love being around kids. I love their fun energy and the silly stuff they do! I even like the real little ones. I got to meet my 6 week old 2-legged foster nephew and I was so careful and I even gave him a big kiss. Kids totally RULE---I'm telling you! So glad they are here in RAGOMLAND! Hey...that would be something I should put on my Wish List for the Wizard :) KIDS---of any number, shape, and size for my new forever home or at least a place to play with some!

Oh, by the way...FM said she discovered my only bad habit (so far)---ready for this? I pull. What? I pull what? What does she mean "pull"? She puts a thing called a "leash" on me and so I go. Isn't that what I am suppose to do with a leash? Maybe she doesn't know that I had free roam within one of those invisible fences on many acres at my last home and so I didn't have much leash training. So, I didn't know I wasn't suppose to pull. FM said we are going to practice this week walking on a leash. Not sure what that means, but if it helps the Wizard find me a home, I'm IN! I even made up a song for our leash training sessions:

A leashing we will go!
A leashing we will go!
High HO the Wizard Knows,
No pulling I will go!

If you know that song too...you may be my forever family....see, I'm singing you to me! Don't forget to let your Placement Advisor (a.k.a. The Wizard) know if you think I'm the SUPER DUPER SENIOR LOVER DOGGIE you've been searching for. FM says I'm really a wonderful doggie with a great big heart and a great body! Wow---such a compliment! Someone is falling in love with me...I can tell!

HA! Talk to you soon!
Love,
Molly the Magnificent

HI Friends in RAGOMLAND! What a GReat place for a Golden to be!

I have so many new friends here and I've just begun my journey down the Yellow Brick Road.

This is one of my new friends...another RAGOM girl Kaitlyn 10-159. She was hanging out with us for the weekend and so she joined me down the Yellow Brick Road for awhile...

I've been such a good guest in my foster home. I've proven myself worthy of being outside the fenced in area and I listen really good to my foster family. It's easy to listen because I love being with them. I run and explore, but I come right back to make sure they know where I am.

Today, something really strange happened. FM didn't feed us breakfast and then she said, "C'mon Molly, let's go!" Well, I was happy to go anywhere with her, but had I known where I was headed, I would have stayed home. FM took me to the Vet again. I don't remember much, but I was so groggy when I came home. Do you remember the scene when Dorothy ran through the Poppies and then she fell asleep? Well...I think FM pulled a fast one on me. I couldn't keep my eyes open for nothing even after I got home. Yes, that's drool...so embarrassing!

When I woke up, FM told me she found a weird growth on my gum, and so the doc removed it for me. Awwwee... that was really nice of them. The doc cut that ugly thing right off and said it's a pretty common thing and we'll just keep an eye on it. FM said she was so happy to hear that, and I'm so happy no one has to see it anymore. Gross!

Speaking of GROSS..the Wicked Witch of the West (a.k.a SKUNK) started sabotaging my journey prior to coming to RAGOMLAND! I mean---who would want to take in a freshly skunked doggie? Lucky for me...my Transporters and foster family were not scared away by that old Witch and after 3 baths, one tomato juice soaker, and being drenched in "Skunk Be Gone," I smell wonderful----well..to me that is. FD says he can smell me coming a mile away....well, at least they won't lose me! FM gave me another bath tonight and I think I'm smelling a bit better now.. but I sure look funny! Do you think she really needed to use that much water?

FM says we have to get ready for a big party on Saturday and we don't want the "smell" scaring everyone away---I hope she's kidding....because I LOVE parties! Parties mean People and People mean lots of P--E--T--S for ME! Who knows, maybe I'll run into the Wizard and get to tell him what I'm looking for in my forever home...it's really not too tough. So far, FM thinks a family looking to LOVE an awesome, loyal, well-behaved, potty-trained (PLEEEEEase--that's sooooo many years ago) companion doggie that has a nice yard or goes to a place that I can run and play with friends will be a perfect family for me because I'm about as easy going as it gets---I told you I'm a SUPER SENIOR!. But, to be fair to me, my foster family is still getting to know me so I'll let you know more as soon as I (we) know more.

Well---gotta keep movin' down the Yellow Brick Road....Good-Bye for now...

Mollly 10-171
