Molly has found her perfect forever home! This little cutie will be the adored member of her new family and will get to do every single one of her favorite things.
Yay, little Molly!

Here’s... Molly! Molly is a healthy, gentle little gem. She is a very happy and adaptable 24-lb bundle who was lovingly surrendered because she is not comfortable with tiny tots. But, it’s only LITTLE children with whom she is uncomfortable. She has spent time with my five grandchildren who are 7 years to 12 years old.
She loved them, and they loved and thoroughly enjoyed her. Other than preschoolers, Molly is always eager to meet anyone she encounters and loves everyone. She also loves to meet other dogs. We have not yet had the opportunity to see if she likes to play with other dogs, or if she just likes to meet and greet!
Molly is a mix. I would guess her to be a Golden Retriever/Dachshund mix or Cocker Spaniel/Dachshund mix. She has short legs and a long body. She has an uncanny way of looking like a full-sized red Golden Retriever in pictures, so I have tried to include some pictures where she looks her true small size. She can fit on your lap (and she barely sheds)!
I would describe her as having a mellow, small dog type personality. Molly’s favorite thing in life is to ride in the car. She would like to be taken along every time. She is excellent in the car, and is also very good at waiting patiently in the car if we leave her for a bit. Although the photo below shows her in the front seat, we found that she feels more secure in the back seat on her dog bed.
Next on her list of favorite things would be either sitting on the dock or riding in the boat. She loves both!
Molly is housetrained and crate trained. She has not had a single accident in the time that we have had her. She loves her dog bed and spends a lot of time during the day snoozing on it. We put it in the crate at first so that we have the option to use a crate. She is fine with free roam also.
Molly’s pluses are many! Too numerous to mention on the first update. Negatives? Probably walking on a leash. Her leash walking can range from a perfect heel to wander and tug, tug, tug! We found she is especially interested in frogs and is pretty insistent to get to them! We weren’t even aware that the frogs were around!
She also requires some fetching/playtime everyday, and SHE wants to be the one who determines WHEN it’s play time! We have found her to be distracted outside, but will readily fetch where we have a pretty long area to toss her toy inside. So, really, this turns into a plus. Super easy!
Other than no small children, I think Molly would fit into about any home.
