We are excited to announce that Lilo has a new family of her very own! She will no longer be destined for a life of breeding, and will now enjoy a lovely yard to play in, a warm, soft bed to sleep in, a full tummy, and lots of love, attention and patience from her new family.

Her mom and dad think she is the sweetest girl and she and her four-legged sibling, Maizy, are already best friends. They are going to give her all the things that this beautiful girl deserves, she will be living her best dog life!

We are coming up on Miss Lilo's 6 month birthday!  She is the happiest puppy, especially in the morning. She is playful and fun, but is also gentle and has a medium energy demeanor.

She has sure been enjoying this warmer weather. But, then again, she is happy going out in any kind of weather. She loves being outside and going for walks! Exercise is really important and helps with the puppy tendencies, like wanting to chew on rugs and things.

She also loves being indoors near her people and fellow companion dogs, especially our golden, Molly. She is very respectful of both of our dogs. They both play differently, so I think it's been a good learning experience for her.

Lilo gets a little more confident every day, but she is still spooked by some noises and objects. She sleeps through the night in her crate, but she is not as big of a fan of it during the day. It continues to be a work in progress.

She is a smaller golden retriever/cocker spaniel mix, but she is strong and sturdy. I think she will be a nice medium sized dog based on her paw size and structure.

It's been fun to see the characteristics of the golden and that of the cocker. Her coat is soft, with some wavy curls down her back. She's mostly black, but has cute patches of brown on her paws, ears and face.  When she is next to our golden, it's easier to see similarities,  but when she looks at you with those eyes and floppy ears, well, the cocker cuteness is there too!

We have started training with the gentle leader on walks. The leader makes walking much more pleasant, so she's not dragging her walker down the trail. Everything is interesting to her, so the security and control of that is nice too.

We are still working on housetraining. She is making great progress, but is not 100% yet. Lilo also exhibits submissive peeing tendencies. When she gets really excited or scared, she will sometimes piddle. As their confidence builds, I understand it is typical for puppies to grow out of it, so it is our hope with her. We are working with her, but having proper expectations and actions is always a good thing.

Lilo is a fun little girl who has so much love to give. (Lilo means "generous one.") She is looking for a patient, active and attentive family who can give her the training and love she needs to help her live her best life!

Lilo has had her initial vet visit and has been adjusting very well in our home. She has not been spayed yet.

Lilo is a sweet girl who came into RAGOM from a commercial breeder. She exhibits mostly typical puppy behavior, but due to her lack of confidence, she will need a confident and tolerant resident dog in her new home to guide her.

Lilo is great with other dogs and with kids of all ages, but due to her flight risk, kids aged 10 and older would be recommended. She is very curious, but does still spook easily sometimes.

She is also very quick, so a physical fence would be recommended. She has not been tested with cats. Lilo loves walks and being outdoors in all kinds of weather.

She is looking for an active, attentive family who likes spending time outside and can devote the time and training needed to make her a confident, secure dog and help her live her best dog life.
