Molly Sue continues to make all that meet her fall in love with her. After an initial bout of shyness meeting strangers, she endears herself to kids and adults alike. She has really become comfortable around different people and loves to get the attention. Every day on our walks at least one person will comment on what a beautiful dog she is, and she is gorgeous. She walks so well on a leash and has a very cute strut about her. Molly Sue loves to play fetch. She is the perfect retriever! She will sit and wait for you to throw her toy, run and get it, bring it right back and drop it at your feet. I am just amazed at how quickly she learns things. She has really gained a lot of confidence and seems to be a lot more adventurous. Car rides are a fun thing for Molly and she will jump right in and is ready to go. She took a little road trip down to her foster grandparents and played with their new Golden puppy. The puppy almost looked at her like, hey, that's my Mom. Molly Sue said oh no, not me, I am done with that. We are very impressed with Molly and the progress that she has made. She is a very loving, beautiful soul wanting to please with every ounce of her being. Molly Sue wants to thank her sponsors for giving her a new start and taking care of her expenses. She is very happy that she does not have to have any more litters of puppies, thanks to them and their generosity.

3/28/07: Molly Sue came into RAGOM with the group of 83 dogs from the closed down puppymill in North Dakota. She is approximately 1-1 1/2 years old. She is a small girl with a light coat and lots of waves and curls. Molly stayed with us overnight before moving to a new foster home. It sure looks like she might have had puppies already even at her young age.
Molly was not as fearful as I expected her to be, though it will still take a lot of love and TLC to show Molly that life can be much more enjoyable. She liked to follow us around as much as she could. Quick movements or strange objects would send her scurrying away, but then she would be right back taking a look to see what was going on. If you crouched down, Molly would come up with lots of kisses and would stand to be petted if you worked from underneath her chin and on her chest. Within 24 hours, though, she would let you pet the top of her head without trying to run away.
My husband was throwing the tennis ball for our resident dog, and before long, Miss Molly Sue was grabbing the ball, with her tail wagging, and he was able to get her to bring the ball back to him. What a great thing for this puppymill girl to be doing already. She also started to carry around some Nylabones and some stuffed toys. That was exciting to see.
Molly Sue is one very sweet Golden who is on her way to a much better life.
