Moose 08-037

Profile

Hey All,This is Moose, He is an adorable 12 week (ish) golden mix.  Moose is a bit of a heavy weight and already weighs in at 36lbs.  He came from a farmer that had a litter of pups and could not get rid of him in a timely manner. So far, (knock on wood) no accidents in the house and has been in a kennel at night and is getting used to it.  He sleeps a lot right now but also loves to play with all the "pack" here on the foster front.  The house cat (declawed) has already told Moose where the line is and he is now respecting the cat.Moose seems to be loving the attention by the 2 and 5 year olds here, they think he is great because he is the only dog here that isn't bigger than them.  (at least not height wise).  His feet are quite large, so we are expecting him to become a big boy.  The previous owners had thought that it was the neighbor Husky that was the responsible male, but no one that has seen him think he looks anything like a Husky.  He looks 95% Golden and 5% BIG DOG.  The vet said Moose looks great and has gotten his first shots and de-worming.  He is already beginning to loose his puppy teeth.  His next round are in a couple weeks,  he didn't mind the shots or microchip.  Moose easily let us clip his nails and clean his ears while he was hard at sleep.Moose will update everyone here in the very near future by his own accounts of how he and the "pack" are getting along.Stay tuned.............

Look at my pictures.  Am I not the cutest little thing you have ever seen?  Ok, I may not be little.  I am 36 pounds of pure puppy love.  I am soft and fluffy and I like to cuddle and give lots of kisses.    I also love to play with the resident dogs and Chopper 08-019 is showing me how fun tennis balls are.  Another thing I like to do is to chew on things.  No worries though, if you give me plenty of toys to chew on, I won’t chew on your things.  I'm working real hard right now to get the house training thing down.  I have only had a couple of accidents since I have been here.  My foster family lets me out all the time to try and go potty.  I don't really like being out there all by myself, so sometimes I just bark at the back door to come back in.    Another thing I don't really like is my crate.  I sleep in my crate all night and stay pretty quiet.  But, sometimes I have to be in my crate during the day.  I pretty much bark the whole time, even though my foster dad got me a Kong to chew on.   I'm sure I will eventually get used to it, but I get lonely.  Can you blame me?    I am looking for a family that will give me lots of lovin'.  I will also need a family that will be patient with me and teach me all kinds of new things.  I am a young boy, so I will need help with the basics.  These other dogs here were talking about some cool thing called "puppy training classes", they sound like fun where I can play with other pups my age.  I have lots of love to give.  I love people and kids and I am fine with the dogs that I live with right now.  I also like cats, but I don’t think the cat here likes me too much.  What?  I just really like to play!   Do I sound like the dog for you?  Contact placement and let them know you want to meet me.  I am ready and waiting to have fun with my forever family.  Don't wait too long, as cute as I am, I am going to go quick.
