Morgan 07-227

Profile

I would like to introduce you to Morgan.  A six month old male that was just delivered to me by Gretchen, a wonderful volunteer who got Morgan from Joyce.  Joyce picked him up from his surrendering owner in Brainerd this morning.  Morgan is not up to date and still needs to be neutered, which will happen this week.

Morgan is so cute and has the softest fur ever!   Morgan is the product of an unplanned union between a pure-bred golden retriever and a pure-bred yellow lab.  He is very sweet and I was totally expecting a wild, playful puppy but so far he is very calm.  He met my residents Nala and Sue with no problems and he has just been sniffing around.  He went outside and did his business, for which we all did the celebratory dance and praising to let Morgan know he was doing the right thing and then he came in and had a snack.  Right now he is sitting by me, drooling (he is a bit of a drooler) and looking a bit like he needs a nap.

Morgan is stocky and has ginormous paws, so I am predicting he will turn out to be a very big boy.   In the 45 minutes he has been here, he has learned that if he sits nicely, he will be rewarded with a treat.  He is very food motivated and will be easy to train.

More to come as I get to know the handsome and sweet Morgan.

P.S. Morgan just fell asleep at my feet...so sweet!
