Hi! I want to tell you about my hips. I got word from an "ortho specialist" that I do NOT need surgery, and I DO have arthritis. She suggested that I gain weight and build muscle. In the meantime I should see another kind of doctor to check out my nerves. So, I met a woman named Ms. Neur Ologist and she checked me out really well. She kept pushing on my hips and I asked her very politely to stop, because that kinda hurt a little. She introduced me to Mr. Ortho Paedics and he kept moving my hind legs around funny, so I had to ask him to stop also, because I really don't like to be so uncomfortable. They agreed that I walk wobbly and have minor pain when they move my hips and tail around. They do not know why. They don't know if it will ever become a problem for me, or if I will just have arthritic pain and nothing else. They think that there is no real concern because I am so active. But, good news! Twice a day now I get little pieces of bread with a little crunchy thing in the middle. They said that would make me comfortable and reduce any swelling that I might have in my joints. I sure feel good and have extra spring in my step. I'm not so stiff when I get up in the morning, either. Bad news: they want me to be on complete kennel rest for 30 days. I HATE kennel rest; boring boring boring. I can only go out for potty breaks. Sometimes I cheat and walk around the house a little, but if I start playing with my dog-friend then I have to go back in the kennel. I don't complain, I really don't, I just give Foster-Mom a really sad look when I go in. That's about it, that's all we know about my hips. Seriously, my wobbly walk bothers the humans a lot more than it bothers me - I could catch every chicken in this yard if I could get off this leash! (I've caught 3 already).

I'm developing that Golden Smile!
