Morgan 08-030

Profile

Hey Everyone!!! My name is Morgan. I am 6 years old, and I am a purebred Golden Retriever (if you haven’t noticed that from my pictures)!! I am spayed so my foster mom doesn’t have to worry about doing that!! YAHOO!! I came into RAGOM up to date on all of my vaccinations. I was really loved in my old home, but they had to let me go to RAGOM because they were having some family issues and thought it would be best for me.

I am really outgoing, and I love to play outside. Foster Mom says that I am REALLY active for a 6 year old. I love kids the more the better! Before I came to RAGOM I lived with 4 children under 5 years old!! I do great with other dogs, but I have never met a cat before so I don’t know if I would chase them or not!! Well, George, Daphne & Sloan are telling me to come play so talk to you later!

Morgan is doing very well. She had a playdate on Monday with her fur friend Champ. He is alot younger and larger in size, but I outsmarted him by being smaller and quicker. We played for 1 hour, boy were we dog tired. But after a short nap I wanted to play ball.

This was my first female foster dog. She is so mellow and easy going, not like all the other male dogs I have had. I would just like to thank RAGOM for taking in Morgan girl and letting me foster her. She was loved by her previous family - it shows. We loved her here. She was a perfect houseguest, never any problems. In fact she was fitting in so well at our house that we had talked about keeping her, but then this wonderful family called us on Morgan and they wanted to meet her so the family of 6 came to visit - 4 kids and 2 adults. Morgan was in 7th heaven. She had so many people to play with her. They all took turns for 2 hours. They couldn't believe how well she behaved around kids of all ages. They couldn't believe she was 6 yrs old. She has many wonderful years left to enjoy the Golden Life that was meant for her.

It brings me joy and sadness to tell you "Morgan" has found her forever home with the "G" Family. I know they will love and adore her like we did.

I was trying not to shed any tears as they came to take her home Wednesday night. But as they were taking her home, new Mom turned to me and said don't worry you have done a wonderful thing you have made our family complete. We will love her and keep her safe. They promised to keep me updated and send pictures of Morgan girl. I can go and visit when I'm in the area.

Thank you Morgan for coming into my life and letting me find you a forever home. Foster Mom & Dad will really miss you lots. They say every foster dog that comes into your life is special and I truly believe this now. Morgan will forever be in our hearts.

Good bye Morgan girl and enjoy your new forever home. Here are a few last pictures of Morgan in action and with Champ and Foster Mom of course.

Morgan have a great "golden life" that you deserve with the "G" family. Thank you

Morgan had a busy week and weekend. She went to Petco on Saturday and saw a lot of people and other RAGOM dogs. She then went to the spa and got a bath and pedicure.

Boy am I a pretty lady - now all the guys are looking at me. I played with Champ today. He was a perfect gentleman. He is a lot bigger than me but I'm quicker. I still haven't met any cats yet. I did chase a bunny but didn't catch it. Foster mom says that's good. I went for my first 2 mile walk today. Foster mom says I'm the best walking partner she's had. I stayed right by her side the whole way. I came home and took a nap.

Did I mention that Morgan likes to play with tennis balls? She can play a long time. We usually quit before she does cause we're tired. She is a very active 6 year old. We are learning a lot about Morgan. She has only been here 7 days and she has settled in very nicely. She has no resource guarding of food or toys. Champ continued to take all the toys and bones and she was just fine with that. Loud noises don't seem to bother her. No storm anxieties known. No separation issues. Does just fine the 8 hours we are at work, no accidents. She likes kids of all ages. She could be an only dog or have another for a playmate. Loves to go everywhere you go. I feel Morgan would do best with a fenced yard so she can run and play and chase her tennis balls. She would be fine at a dog park. Loves walks. Likes car rides. She doesn't bark much except to let you know someone is coming on her property like a good watch dog.

More to come as we get to know this little lady. She has been a perfect houseguest. She will make some family a wonderful companion.

Hi, it's me -- Morgan! I have arrived at my new foster home in Richfield, Mn.

I now have a new foster mom & dad. My other foster mom didn't have a fence for me and she really felt I should have one because I was used to one for 6 years.

Boy, have I got it made - I am the only dog here. I get all the attention and food and toys. Well let me tell you a little about me since foster mom is making dinner. I love to play with my tennis balls - you would never know I'm 6 yrs old. I can play like the 2 year olds. I retrieve the balls and even bring them back to you. I love the snow. I sleep all night and have free roam of the house. I like to sleep by the couch and upstairs by the foot of the bed. I'm not allowed on the bed or furniture but that's ok because I wasn't allowed in my previous home so I don't know what I'm missing unless my forever home lets me on furniture. I like my fenced yard. I can go out anytime I want. I am housebroken and have had no accidents.

Foster mom says what a good girl I am. I like to hear good girl. I do need work on walking with a Gentle Leader cause I don't like it. Foster mom says I need it on cause I am so strong. I only weigh 66lbs. So if you would like a smaller golden, I'm your girl.

I had my first bath tonight and I smell real good. Did I mention I grew up with 4 children under the age of 5? I sure like kids. I am good with dogs too. Well I gotta go now, dinner is ready. Foster mom will write more as she gets to know me better. Thank you RAGOM for taking me in.
