Acer is one of seven puppies of Ava 11-088. He is black and tan and looks like a cross between a Husky and a German Shepherd.

He and his brothers and sister came up from Missouri last weekend, saved from euthanasia by RAGOM. They were dumped at the Joplin Humane Society who couldn't handle them due to overcrowding. We have no history on him but as we learn about him we'll certainly fill you in.

Today he weighs five and a half pounds and has gotten his first vet visit. Like his mother he wants human contact. Like his siblings he is mellow. And he is as cute as the dickens.

Thanks to RAGOM, he has been given the opportunity to have the "Golden life". This cannot be done without generous donors who really care about dogs in need. Donors are always welcome and always needed. Want to become a donor? Want to help poor little Acer? If you can help defray the costs of his care, please consider a donation to RAGOM in Acer's name.

Acer has moved to a new foster home with his brother Aero 11-090.  His previous foster mom had to start working overnight.  Acer is adorable and a very sweet puppy.

We own 4 dogs and have a couple of other foster dogs here, so I thought it wise to not tell my husband I was bringing home two puppies until he got a chance to meet them.  I show up with Acer and Aero and much to my surprise, my husband looks at Acer and says “We might have to keep him.”  HA, no way, we have more than our share of dogs already.  Luckily, Acer is meeting a family Thursday evening and will likely be adopted on Friday.

It’s not easy to take pictures of puppies because they don’t stay still and pose for pictures.  Everytime I bend down to take a picture, Acer comes running up to me.  I attached a new picture, but it’s not very good and he’s much cuter than this picture, but at least you can see how he’s growing and changing.  Will be interesting to see if his ears stand up when he gets older or if they stay tipped at the ends.  Very cute.

I'mmmmmm back. Where was I you ask? I had a little stop over at the vets yesterday for something Foster Mommy called "neutering". All I know is I went on a little trip, fell asleep, and now I'm back here good as new! I was only tired for a few hours and now I'm ready for playing! Whoop whoop!

FM is surprised nobody has asked to meet me or my brother Aero yet. We are healthy, active, beautiful puppies who need homes of our very own! Mom is Ava, and is a GR mix. We aren't sure who my daddy is but everyone agrees he must have been a husky mix.

Now that I'm all neutered, I'm ready to go. I really want to meet my very own family. Someone who will love me, train me, and help me be the best doggy I can be. Is that you?

Hi Friends!

Its Acer here! I'm doing great! I'm in a foster home with my brother Aero 11-090 and we like to play with each other! Chase is the best! In fact, no only do we like to chase each other, but we like to chase leaves outside, chase our foster brothers tail, and chase Foster Mom's pant legs as she walks. Oh wow, life is so great! I'm so glad RAGOM saved my mommy and my litter from the high kill shelter!

I got to go to the RAGOM event on Saturday and we saw so many people. Everyone said we are sooooo cute and we got lots of pets and treats. People agree pictures don't do us justice.....so you'll have to come meet me in person so know how sweet I am!

I'm 8 weeks old and besides needing to be neutered, I'm ready for my forever family to find me. Is it you?

Acer has turned out to be the mediator in disputes amongst his litter mates. Even though he is the smallest of the litter he will literally jump in between two puppies that have begun to turn regular play into a fight forcing them to back off from each other. He is also one of the first to ask to be picked up and held by anyone who happens by his enclosure. He really enjoys a little play time outside every day and loves to grab oak leaves to run and play with. He has a fine, silky coat with an undercoat -- he's softer than any plush stuffed toy. What a great little dog!
