Murphy came to RAGOM via an Iowa shelter. This youngster is full of love and looking for a family who appreciates his nice leash manners and a big lap dog. Murphy is getting used to his crate; he finds trouble when unattended. He can live with other dogs who don’t mind that Murphy will take their toys. He has lived with a cat but hasn’t been tested in his foster home. Due to Murphy’s size, children should be age 8 or older. A physical fence is optional if his family has a plan to keep him safe and trouble-free.

Murphy has found his dad. He is already spoiled with lots of walks, toys and attention. He likes watching the world out his new bay window. His dad called him a new blessing in his life.

Hello Golden lovers, I’m Murphy and I am looking for my forever home! I am just 2 years young with loads of puppy love to give.

I have lived with a cat in the distant past so they are a ‘maybe’ (I haven’t been tested in my foster home). However, I am currently living with my foster sister Golden so I am open to other canines in the house, especially one my age to play with. I don’t understand how big I am so please, no toddlers or smaller kids.

I love my walks and will even help you carry my leash. I do have nice leash manners until I see my arch nemesis, the squirrel! Once I get my walk and play time, I am a snuggle bug and love my attention. I do think I am part lap dog at 67 pounds and I love giving kisses.

I love my toys and everyone else’s toys and will take them from other dogs. I typically only bark when I see or hear someone out the window just to alert you. I will not require a fence if I get my daily walks and playtime.

I like eating and drinking from a raised dish so I would love to have one in my new home. When you are home, I am great in the house and don’t chew what is not mine and I will give you “the look” when I need to go out.

However, I do find trouble when I am unsupervised, inside or out (even in a fenced yard), so I will need to be crated/leashed for my safety. I am still getting used to being in a crate when you leave but I do settle given time.
