Gremlin was adopted from Ragom as a puppy and was renamed Neo...he responds well to his name. He is a gorgeous Black Lab whose mama was a Golden. His coat is longer than a Lab but not as long as a Golden and it is very black. He is stocky in the shoulder area and shorter than either of my Goldens. So far he has adapted well to my house...my younger dog is being very nasty towards him and my cat is being her usual self...right now Neo is looking out my back door praying his owner returns soon to rescue him (or maybe he's watching the squirrels in my backyard...I can't tell). Neo responds to my nasty dog by not engaging back...so eventually, my younger dog will leave him alone. My cat has Neo slightly mystified...she is snarling and hissing and trying to hit him and Neo keeps backing further and further away from her..she only weighs 10 pounds and has no front claws...but Neo doesn't believe that. Only my older dog has been nice to him...poor Neo. Right now Neo is intact, so after our vet visit early next week, we will schedule a neuter...and he will be ready for his new home....just in time for Christmas.
