Nevaeh (Heaven spelled backwards) arrived in foster care this week after her family had to move and was no longer able to keep her. She is a 6 year old, very red, sweet as they come girl! She has not had any accidents and has retreated to her kennel at night to sleep on her dog bed. She loves to chew on bones and has showed some interest in playing with our resident dogs. Foster dog Tanner seems to be quite smitten with her but she tells him no by slapping him with her front paw. It is the oddest and cutest thing I have ever seen! He seems so destroyed that she is not returning his love.
She does get along well with dogs, cats and came from a home with children who she got along well with. She will need a home with a fenced yard. Other than that she seems as though she would fit in in about any family. She will be making a trip to the vet to get a checkup this weekend but if you are interested please let your placement advisor know!

Nevaeh continues to be a great house guest. She no longer wants to sleep in her kennel and instead sleeps on a dog bed by our bed. Only the fur around her eyes show she's 6 years old. She's very polite and never jumps on people. Just greets you with a smile and wagging tail! Contact placement if interested!
Well, Nevaeh made her trip to the vet to get her chip number recorded, get a bordatella vaccine and get a little lump looked at on her ear. Everything checked out well! Her surrendering family also sent a years worth of heartworm pills with her! She sure charmed the vet and vet techs and even had a woman in the waiting area asking if she could be adopted right then! She is a sweet girl for sure! She enjoys water, and spent most of the day yesterday in and out of the kiddie pool in the backyard. She still favors her kennel with her dog bed to sleep in at night but is happy to snooze with the rest of the gang during the day.
