Hi!  My name is Nike. A Good Samaritan found me and called RAGOM. Before I knew it, I was safe and sound with a warm bed and lots of treats. I love all the attention, and I have two new doggy friends. I am very gentle, and I’m not afraid of being inside the house. I also walk nice on a leash and sit when I’m told.  Everyone tells me that I’m very handsome. FM took some pictures of me, so you can decide for yourself.  I’m also told that I have a gorgeous smile.  Well, I have a lot to smile about. I’m told that someone out there is going to fall in love with me and adopt me. That would be fabulous!

I’ve been on a pretty tight schedule since arriving here. In only a few short hours all the burrs and snarls have been brushed out of my coat, I’ve had a bath, and I saw the Vet. I’m now up to date on all of my shots – ouch. That took a lot of courage. I’m a little thin at 53 lbs and could use another 10 lbs, but my foster parents said that wouldn’t be a problem. My ears, eyes and coat all look good. There was one concern though.  The Vet heard a heart murmur.  She said before I got too worried about it, they would schedule an echo. Not sure what that is. However, I guess it’s to make sure it’s nothing serious. If this goes well, then I will need to be neutered. In the meantime, I’m going to soak up some love, play with my new friends and eat some yummy treats. Keep your paws crossed for me. I will keep you updated.

A few days ago I mentioned my great pleasure hanging out with a 7 year old, well I also like 3 year olds.  I spent a few days with a fabulous 3 year old and really bonded with her.  You can tell from the pictures below that we share common interests; grooming and snuggling.

Catch you later,

Nike

Well another day has passed. Yesterday we were just hanging out together. I can lounge with the best of them. I have also proven that I am housetrained and don’t chew on anything, so I have free roam of the house. I haven’t figured out what the toys are for, but I am starting to enjoy the raw hides. I’m heading off to the kitchen to check out breakfast. I love the treats, but I really am not excited about what they serve around here for meals.

Have a great day, Nike
