Wow! Was I excited when foster mom told me I have a Sponsor! Finally, I may have some help with all this madness, so I'm sending out an SOS to my Sponsor, Peggy, in the form of a photo. One word; PINK. Do you see the bandage on my leg? The ball on my bed? PINK. This house is full of girls; three girl kitties, one girl dog, and one human girl. Do you think that she could maybe buy some other color dog toys? Or, ask the vet to put a different color bandage on my leg? No, I'm stuck with PINK. I'm a BOY, a Big Boy at 104 pounds, mind you. See my photo? That queen-sized bed? I'm laying sideways, tail off one end and nose off the other. You can't mistake me for a GIRL. Oh, yeah, and my collar may look like pink in the photo, but it's RED, but I know for sure there are plenty of pink collars just waiting for the next girl foster dog. Just you wait....

Whoa, Nellie! Nugget weighed-in at a whopping 105 pounds today at the vet! As you can see from his picture, Nugget (foreground) is a large dog in comparison to Rocky 07-101 (background), but should still lose about 7 pounds. Weight management will be crucial to Nugget's management of his hips/knees. We're walking around the block several times a day, slowly building up Nugget's stamina.
And, silly me, the sore on Nugget's paw (as seen on his new photo) is not a hot spot but rather a strange cauliflower-like growth that has a stem or trunk. This will be removed next Wednesday, along with unblocking one of his tear ducts. He does not like being cone-head, and moves around the house like a bull in a china shop :)
