Evee has been a joy to foster. He was with us a little over 3 1/2 weeks. He learned how to gets lots of attention and lots of walks.
Evee has found his forever family. He will be the only dog and get all the attention he so deserves.
He will have a mom and dad and two kids to live with and lots of trips to the cabin. Hope he likes swimming, lots of walks, and play time.
We will miss you, Evee. Enjoy your new life with the G family!
And we even get to visit him as he lives close by.
Foster Mom and Dad and Cooper (Resident Dog)

Evee was surrendered because a family member became allergic to him and Evee had to live outdoors. The family didn't want that life for Evee so they called RAGOM as they knew we would find him a great new home.
Evee is a 2½-year-old purebred Golden Retriever. He has a big blocky head and weighs in at 85 pounds. He is up to date on his shots and tested negative for heartworm and tick-borne diseases. His fecal test was also negative. So, yay!
He has been here with us for one week. He lived with two adults, three kids, and a cat in his former home.
Evee gets along with all dogs he has met so far. He hangs out with our resident dog Cooper (5 years old) with no issues at all. Cooper is not a player but Evee keeps trying to get him to play. But they get along just fine. Evee wants to share Cooper’s food dish. He has shown no resource guarding with food or toys.
He would probably like another young dog to play with to burn off some energy, as well as kids to pet him and play with him.
He loves to go for walks but is very strong, so we use a harness on him. He needs work with walking manners. He gets very excited when the leash and harness come out.
Evee loves to be petted but also loves to just lay on the rugs and chill, too. He doesn't get on the bed or furniture. He is not destructive, and he is housetrained (no accidents). He loves to go outside and hang out. He also loves car rides!
We are working on getting him used to the kennel while we are at work. Just needs a treat or a piece of bread, barks for about five minutes, and then settles down. Evee has free roam when we are at home and at nighttime. He sleeps all through the night.
Evee’s surrendering owner said he didn't like storms, but that is understandable having lived outside for a while.
Evee is being treated right now for diarrhea as the big move was a little stressful on him. So once that's all cleared up he will get neutered, and then he’ll be ready for his forever home.
More to come on what his forever home will need as we are still getting to know him. Evee’s personality is opening up more each day. Stay tuned for updates on this good-looking dog. Some lucky family will love this boy.
