Paris 08-393

Profile

Paris has arrived in Marion, Iowa after a long ride by our wonderful transporters! Paris is a petite Golden girl that was surrendered since the owners have young tots and are very busy. They knew Paris needed a lot of attention and exercise and now RAGOM can help find a new home for her. Paris is about 3.5 years old and weighs about 45 pounds. She is a very pretty girl with true blonde highlights and a sweet face.

So far, she has met our five resident dogs ranging in age from 12 years to 10 months. Paris, being rather overwhelmed today, was a bit growly with all of them individually, but once we went out to the back yard off leash, she was fine. I would upon meeting her classify her as a "needs proper introductions" kind of gal. She did play and run around and splash in the pool after the introductions were done. She's loosening up and as I type is trying her best to get our Vinnie and Coty to play.

On the other hand, she is very quick to warm up to humans and seems to love kids. She met our children ages 13, 11 and 7 with tail wags and excitement. Her previous owners have two young tots at home with never a problem so a family with children will be good for her.

Paris is used to having free reign at home and eating whenever she wanted. She's used to living alone with no other permenant resident dogs and isn't used to cats at all. In our foster home, she'll be eating once a day with all the dogs, she'll have plenty of exercise time and she'll be expected to figure out her place in the pack. We are excited to watch her grow and get acclimated to her new surroundings.

Paris will need to see the vet to be brought up to date on her shots and spayed. After that, which will hopefully be this week, she'll be ready to meet some new people and find a forever home!!
