Penny 05-186

Profile

Hi Everyone! My name is Penny; Henny Penny or Penners if you listen to my foster mom. I am a 7 year old yellow Lab. I was surrendered to RAGOM because my owner wasn't able to care for me and my canine house-mate, Bailey 05-187, anymore. I've been well taken care of and loved, my foster mom can tell. I like to carry a toy around in my mouth. I'm house-trained, I have free roam of the house and don't get into trouble, I sleep through the night, and I don't demand tons of attention - unlike the resident canines at my foster home! I get along with everyone here - now. I didn't much care for the little dogs yipping in my face, but that only happened once. I growled a bit and let them know I wasn't an "in your face" kind of gal and they've pretty much left me alone. I don't play with the other canines here and I ignore the cats. I'm very happy to just play by myself. I'd do very well as an only dog. I love to go on walks. I pull a little bit, but I just get so darn excited about all the good smells - I don't want to miss anything!

My former owner said I was afraid of thunder and when it thunders, I'll want to crawl in bed with you - that's not so bad, is it? I think I also tend to like women more than men - maybe because that's what I'm used to.

I need to go to bed now.....I'm not sure I'm ready, but my foster mom is......

I'll write soon.

Love, Penny

Hi Michele,

It’s been one week since we met Penny and it feels like we’ve known her forever. She is such a joy to have around. Ed has attached some photos of her. She looks comfortable, doesn’t she? Thanks to her we are exploring our neighborhood and finding great places to go for long walks. What else can I say—we’re very lucky to have Penny.

Oh, and Ed adds that he only regrets that he missed the first seven years of her life!

Until later,

Wendy
