Eight weeks with my foster family was full of fun and unforgettable memories! I learned a lot and I feel like I am now a more well-behaved, beautiful, confident puppy. My foster mom told me that I am much healthier, too. I still have a lot to learn but I know I am on the right track!

I got my very first haircut, thanks to my foster mom. It was a fun day at the puppy salon and I felt like I was a different puppy. I didn't even recognize myself when I saw my reflection in the mirror—I barked and realized it was me!

I will definitely miss my squad: Cooper and Waffles. They became my best buddies and we loved playing with each other. We did zoomies together in the backyard, we shared delicious treats, and we took naps together. It was so much fun spending time with them!

I loved playing fetch with our neighbors—those two boys would throw the ball into our backyard and I would push the ball under the fence so they could throw it again.

My last day with my foster family was memorable. I will never forget them and I hope to see them again someday. I know they were sad when I left, but I know that they will be alright.

As for me, I am adjusting in my furever home. I have four human siblings and I love playing with all of them. I sometimes think about my foster family, but I know this is where I belong and I am so very thankful to RAGOM for giving me a chance!

Penny has been with her foster family for about two weeks now and she is settling in very well. Here are some of the things we learned about Penny.

Penny knows basic commands: “sit,” “down,” and “off.” She is a very smart dog and learns very quickly—especially if a treat is involved.

Penny is crate trained and house broken. She sleeps in the crate all night. Her foster mom works from home most days, so Penny is free roaming in the house during the day, together with her foster siblings Cooper (a 6-year-old Beagle) and Waffles (12-year-old Basset Hound).

They get along very well and are starting to sing their songs together. They love people: watching and always looking forward to greeting the mailman… every single day.

Penny is a sweet, playful puppy. She loves all kinds of games and toys but so far, her favorite is playing fetch in the fenced-in backyard. She runs for the ball and will retrieve it. She sometimes drops it back to the person who threw the ball, or she will ask them to come and get the ball back from her.

Penny loves following her foster mom everywhere and brings her toys with her. But she is definitely not a Velcro dog who wants attention all the time. Penny likes being in the same room as her humans but petting her is entirely at her discretion. Sometimes she will let her humans pet her, but sometimes she will walk away and go where she cannot be bothered.

Penny usually stays by the window in her foster mom's home office and watches everything outside.

I know I'm cute, but sometimes, I need a break from all the attention.

Penny is up to date with all her shots and flea/tick/heartworm medications. She is spayed and currently treated for an ear infection. Penny is scheduled to be checked by the vet on Friday, November 1, to see if her ear infection is completely healed.

Penny gets exercise every day. She walks at least once a day, runs zoomies in the backyard, and plays with her foster siblings. She can pull during walks, especially when there are some new scents. Her foster mom is currently working on training her during walks.

I know I need more leash training. Can you please train me?

Penny is ready to meet her "furever" family who will shower her with the love, care, and attention that she deserves.
