Profile

Millie was surrendered to RAGOM by a breeder because Millie has entropion, a condition where the eyelids turn inward. This is alleviated by surgery, which Millie will have when she is spayed. Millie is an energetic sweetheart who can live with cats and other dogs. Her puppy teeth are very sharp, so children in her home should be age 8 or older. She does not require a physical fence. Millie’s family must supply lots of love, exercise, and training to help her grow into a confident, well-mannered dog.

Millie would like to thank her sponsors—the support is much appreciated!

Millie is doing fantastic! She had her spay and entropian surgery and bounced back beautifully. She didn’t like wearing a cone for a few days, but we needed to make sure she didn’t get at her eyes or spay sutures. Her eyes look so good now!

These past couple of weeks she has gotten more outgoing and confident. She’ll initiate play much more now, and it is so fun to see her egging Coco or one of the resident dogs on. She is still quite a snuggler and a love.

Millie has some wonderful news—she found her forever family! Her new family adopted a pup last year, and he is a strapping lad now, so she will have an energetic playmate! Please join me in wishing her and her new family the very best!

Meet Millie, the most adorable 13-week-old puppy! Millie was surrendered to RAGOM from a commercial breeder because she has entropion, a condition where the eyelids are turned in. This is an easy surgical fix so we are thrilled they turned to us to find a home for her. She has been vetted and is all up to date with vaccinations. She is scheduled for her spay and entropion surgery in a few days, then she’ll be ready to go to her forever home.

Mille is a calm, mellow puppy. She loves to wrestle and do zoomies with her sibling Coco 20-010, but she dials it down right away and is content to chew on a bone or stick, or quietly play with a stuffed toy. Yesterday she was chewing on a toy and it squeaked—who knew?! Stuffed toys have taken on a whole new level of interest now!

We are making headway with potty training, she is such a good girl. She sleeps in a crate in the bedroom at night and I put them out once in the middle of the night to do their business. I work from home so they have lots of opportunity for potty breaks and playing outside. She’s just discovered balls and how to fetch. She isn’t so good about bringing them back yet.

Millie is a wonderful pup. I had a RAGOM colleague watch her this past week while I took Coco (20-010) to an appointment. The other volunteer is currently fostering Millie’s mama: Stella 20-008. She is a beautiful deep red color, and is a super calm yet interactive girl—I can see where Millie got her mom’s disposition. Here are a couple of pictures of the two.
