Peyton took a nice muddy walk on Sunday. Good news is that he got in the tub. Once his legs and feet and tummy were clean, he was good to go. We tried to watch the Oscars, but he was so bored. No movies with dogs this year. We started talking about the good old days like Old Yeller, Lassie, but he didn’t like Tucker and Hootch, and that made me love him even more.

Week 2 with Peyton. After winning the Super Bowl, he’s taking it easy. He can spread over any space and be comfortable. Whether half his body is on a bed or he’s practically falling off a couch.
He’s sweet and a great companion. We cook together. I pretend I’m the Barefoot Contessa, he’s my audience and I’m his cooking show.
Treats are helping him to learn not to pull as much, but a gentle leader is still required. He knows where the house is, so that tells me he’s smart. He really likes exploring where other dogs have been, and now that the weather is warming up, he can do all the investigating he wants.
He’s got some stomach thing where he needs 3 meals a day. Cup 1 (AM), Cup 2 (PM) ½ Cup (before bed). If he doesn’t, he does throw up. I can attest to it on nights when he didn’t have enough food in meal 3. It’s just the way he works.
