Polly Ann 08-583

Profile

Introducing...Polly Ann!  A 3 year old Golden retriever mix, who looks and acts all Golden!  Polly is your typical velco dog and is very, very sweet and loving.  She was an owner surrender due to "not enough room."  Polly is now a RAGOM dog and I promised her that I would find her a home that had enough room...forever!
Polly Ann is beautiful!  She is a super blondie girl - only us girls wish we had her blonde hair and not from a bottle!  It appears that she has never been groomed as I brushed an enitre grocery bag full of hair out of her.  Her nails were very long, we took care of that too.  Tomorrow it will be bath time, we will see how that goes :  )  Polly weighs about 70 pounds and I would say there are green beans in her future as she is probably 7 - 10 pounds overwieght.  We won't hold that against her!  Just a little winter weight :  )
I think Polly would do best as an only dog as she totally ignores the resident GR.  I would like her to have a fence too.

Wanted to let you know that we said a sad goodbye to our beloved Polly last week.

She was our Polly-girl, sweetie, wiggle butt, princess, Polly-Annie, love bug, snuggle bug – every term of endearment and more – and the most loved member of our family. Everyone commented on her blonde beauty and soft-as-mink fur. Polly was so gentle, not much to play, she just was happiest when she was right beside you cuddling. She loved to watch TV and whatever we had on the laptop, too. To us, Polly was the perfect dog, and we are heartbroken. She had slowed down the last couple months and when the masses were detected it was too late. Many thanks to RAGOM for our sweet Polly. We miss her dearly.

It is with great joy that I announce that Polly Ann has found her forever home.  She will be in her glory being the only dog and getting all of the attention.  I am so happy for this little dolly!  She is a special girl.

Thank you Janet and Mick for loving this special angel.

Polly is so happy that Annie gets to spend her Christmas in a wonderful foster home! Good job Annie and thank you Dayle and Skye for taking such good care of that little sweetie.

Polly is an absolute dolly. We just love this beautiful girl. She has her little quirks, but that is what makes her special. Now for her one quirk: She is a paper chewer. She does not care what kind of paper, it could be wrapping paper, toilet paper, homework, whatever, if she is left alone and there is paper, you can kiss it good bye! Yes, that includes my son's hockey schedule that he left on his bedroom floor! Of course I blamed that on him for leaving it on the floor. He adores Polly, so he did not care. Thank goodness Mom has another copy : )

Polly loves being on the furniture, but I do have to say that the last few days she has been laying on the floor and found one of the many dog beds in the house. I think that means that she feels more comfortable here and can relax wherever she feels like it! Speaking of relaxing, get a load of the pictures that are below. She LOVES to lay on top of the pillows and on the back of the chairs and couches! We don't even let our kids sit on the furniture like that! But Polly, well, she is just such a love bug that she can pretty much do whatever she wants. We call that being spoiled!

We are blessed to share the holiday with Polly and are so glad she is with us today. Enjoy the pictures!

Polly is definitely addicted to Animal Planet! She is so cute when she watches TV. She gets so excited, wags her tail and watches intently. Enjoy the pictures!

Well Polly has settled in like a worn glove!  She just arrived yesterday, crashed on the couch around 6:30 pm, retreated to the human bed around 10:00 pm and was out like a light until 6:30 am.  Poor girl had spent the last week in a boarding facility and I think she was so relieved to be in a home again.

Polly Ann is a sweetheart!  She has not been here long, but is so comfortable here.  I know her adjustment to her forever home is going to be just as easy as it has been for us!

Polly Ann like stuffies and tennis balls.  She is a little apprehensive of the stuffies that squeek though!  It is a little scary for her.

We are going to work on getting her waist back!  She is a little plump, but with good food, (yes, green beans will be involved) and walks, we will get her in shape in no time!

Well, this morning Polly had a long walk (in the sleet) and a beauty treatment including a nice warm bath.  She is currently laying on the couch all wrapped up in a towel drying off!  She walked nicely on the leash and was happy to stretch her legs after being in a kennel situation for a week.  She seems very content to be with us and unlike other fosters, it feels like she has been here a long time.  She slept all night, right next to me on the bed!
Polly definitely loves to get on the couch and the bed.  If you do not allow that, she will not be your girl.  Her papers said that she used to sleep on the couch, thus her passion for mine!  We continue to brush her and pamper this little sweetie.  She is currently eating hamburger and rice as her stools are loose, probably all the changes.  The green beans will come later :  )
I see a little football watching and more pampering for Polly on this wintry day.

Thank you for reading about Miss Polly Ann.
